This self-catering holiday apartment is situated in the heart of picturesque Killyleagh, a few minutes’ walk from the shores of Strangford Lough, Ivy Apartment is roughly 30-40 minutes from Belfast and 15 minutes from Downpatrick, the final resting place of St Patrick, patron saint of Ireland. The convenient location is moments from the local pubs, restaurants, take-aways, cafes and a range of shops, and is a perfect base for exploring the many beauty spots and areas of outstanding natural beauty that Newry, Mourne and Down has to offer. The one bedroom holiday rental was fully refurbished in 2022/23 and features a fully fitted and well-equipped kitchen, spacious shower room and large bedroom with a comfortable double bed and a daybed/sofa which converts easily into 2 full-size singles. There are black-out blinds and lined curtains to keep the daylight out, until you want it. There's an Internet-connected wide screen TV too. All floors are newly fitted, easy clean low VOC laminate. The apartment is accessed by a private front door from the High Street, which opens into the kitchen. The back door opens into a private and secure rear courtyard and gardens with a large dining table that comfortably seats 6 adults. The courtyard is secure for dogs and children, and we are proud to be dog-friendly. Upstairs is the shower room and the bedroom. The property was built as part of a terrace of houses in the 1800s and has a carriage entrance, that would have allowed horse-drawn vehicles into the rear courtyard for stabling. This tunnel now provides a perfect place to securely store bikes, canoes and other equipment out of the weather. With parks, beaches, woodlands and rivers all in easy reach, it's the perfect place for you and your dog(s) to stretch your legs and blow away the cobwebs! Please note:- The age and construction of the property means that it is challenging for people and dogs with limited mobility, due to steep and narrow stairs and steps at the front and rear entrances.
