Flanking the cottage garden is a 19th century flax mill which provides a most atmospheric backdrop. Beyond that, near the oak bridge, was a hut where PM Hubbard, the husband of the previous incumbent, used to write his novels in the 1960’s, some of which may be found in the cottage. In all there are seven acres of garden, woodland and nature reserve. A tributary of the River Brit flows through the land so you are never far from the sound of water.
Travel cot and high chair available on request.
A stairgate is attached to the bottom of the stairs.
The range cooker is a fully functioning burning Aga which needs quite a lot of attention to keep running. Plenty of seasoned firewood is available.
Two well behaved dogs are welcome (small additional charge).
Please be aware this is a rural, remote property with a river running through and around the (partly enclosed) garden. Please supervise children at all times.
*Please note that internet access is offered at this property for recreational purposes only and is not meant for business use or streaming. Speed/service may vary depending on the package obtained by the owner which is provided to guests free of charge.
