Hen Dy Goits is a gorgeous family holiday cottage on Anglesey that was once a coach house. Nestled in the south westerly corner of Anglesey, it is ideal for visiting the beautiful beaches at Newborough, Llanddwyn or Aberffraw. A little further north is the popular seaside town of Rhosneigr which has a variety of good shops, cafes and restaurants and is perfect for a wide selection of watersports. The open plan living area is spacious, bright and comfortable. It has full-length glazed oak doors which open out onto the pretty garden. A traditional multi-fuel stove adds extra cosiness on colder evenings. One of the sofas converts into a high quality double bed, ideal for overnight guests. The bespoke kitchen has been hand-crafted from reclaimed doors - what a wonderfully quirky touch! There is an oven, hob, toaster and kettle as well as a Belfast sink. The kitchen table is extendable to allow for more room if needed. A door leads to the garden area. The lobby is where you’ll find the freezer, washing machine and a clothes airer. There is space for storing shoes. The master bedroom has a now out of use fireplace with a gorgeous cast-iron surround and a slate hearth. The second bedroom has three single beds. The lovely family bathroom has a bath, loo, wash hand basin, heated towel rail and a large shower. The door in the kitchen leads out into a walled patio garden made up of Welsh slate. Out here you’ll benefit from the morning and early afternoon sun which means its ideal for al fresco brunches! Later in the day, the sun can be found round on the decking area and field at the back of the house - this is the best place to sit with a glass of wine and soak up the setting! The roof is supported by old pitch pine beams, all of the rooms downstairs are floored with random slate slabs and have under-floor heating which comes from an air-source heat pump. The windows are made of Welsh oak and that’s a theme throughout the holiday cottage. Not just is the holiday cottage amazing, but the setting is too! You may see barn owls during your visit as they nest nearby. Generally, the western coast of Anglesey has plenty of wildlife including red squirrels, a myriad of birds and even porpoises and seals out to sea! You can make the most of fabulous walks and many other activities close by, as well as attractions, sandy beaches and interesting seaside towns and villages.
