Heathy Lea Accommodation

Heathy Lea is situated just inside the northern edge of Chatsworth Park and has far-reaching views over this stunning parkland scene and the hills beyond.

The three self catering cottages have been furnished and decorated to an excellent standard, combining elements of traditional comfort with contemporary design. Outside, they have access to its own open garden area, ideal for our furry four legged friends. Two cottages have their own enclosed garden and the other is not enclosed but still private. All cottages have outdoor garden furniture and access to a BBQ in the summer season.

The three of the Heathy Lea Collection properties are converted from within the former eighteenth-century farmyard at Heathy Lea on the edge of Chatsworth Park. The grounds of Heathy Lea open directly into the park where guests are free to walk any time (with their dogs on a lead) through the 1100 acres of Chatsworth Park which owes much of its appearance to Lancelot 'Capability' Brown. Look out for the abandoned millstones on the rock edges, the knarled oak woodland, and the resident herds of red and fallow deer as you walk the short distance (20-30 mins) to Chatsworth.

Despite the remote location in the heart of the Derbyshire Dales, you can discover the A619 behind these properties, which links to the nearby villages of Bakewell, Pilsley and beyond.

The Heathy Lea Cottages can all be booked alongside each other providing accommodation for up to 8 guests. In addition to this we also have 3 bed & breakfast rooms within the main house. These can also sleep up to 8 guests.

Dogs are welcomed in the cottages only at a rate of £25 per dog per stay, please advise our reservations team when making your booking that you shall be bringing a dog with you.

Heathy Lea Barn: The accommodation comprises of two bedrooms (one double and one small twin), shower room, separate lavatory, well equipped modern kitchen and a comfortable open plan living/dining room. You have access to a private garden however, please note this is not enclosed.

Stable Cottage: There is an entrance lobby with a small boot/coat cupboard; a beautifully furnished double bedroom; a large, luxurious shower room; and an open plan living room with well-equipped kitchen with dishwasher and dining area and a sofa bed to extend the property to accommodate occasional guests.

The Old Wash House: The entrance lobby leads, on the left, to an open plan, well-equipped kitchen/dining/living room. There is a dishwasher and a large floor to ceiling glass double sliding door which allows direct access to the garden. The sofa in the living room also converts to a double sofa bed for occasional guests.
