Your self-catering holiday on Skye begins as you depart from the picturesque Isle Ornsay Pier and arrive at your unique holiday cottage via a short (10 min) boat ride. If your dog isn’t keen on the boat ride (although most love it), you can also walk to the island when the tide is out.
Every room in the lighthouse cottage is stylishly decorated and every bedroom has a deluxe ensuite bathroom. A characterful living room and dining room are where you can relax and eat when you’re ready to come in from the great outdoors. The spacious lounge offers plenty of room for up to eight people to relax and unwind and your dogs will love lying in front of the wood-burning stove.
The kitchen at the lighthouse cottage is fully equipped with luxury modern conveniences which include a SMEG range cooker, microwave and American style fridge. Your cooking and eating experience at this holiday cottage will be a far cry from the hardships endured by the lighthouse keepers of days gone by!

Eilean Sionnach Lighthouse Cottage is a place to relax and simply just ‘be’. As you depart from Isleornsay pier, imagine the stresses of modern life left standing on the shore and take yourself away for a few days of mindful relaxation and tranquillity. And when you’re ready for the outside world again, simply walk across the bay at low tide, or call on the services of our trusty boat skipper. Our nearest neighbour is a traditional highland hotel and pub, serving great food, often accompanied by live music, so when you’re feeling sociable again, entertainment is close by. Kids and dogs are most welcome in the bar, although dogs must remain outside during meal service.
