North Cornwall's dramatic coast provides the picture-perfect backdrop for this luxury self-catering homestay in Portreath. Standing to attention on the beach front alongside with uninterrupted sea and harbour views, this large 4 bedroom family home is awash with contemporary coastal style, with its focus all about the views. From fishing trips, coastal walks and hikes, to hot tub frolics and sand-castle building on the beach below, a holiday at Beach House in Cornwall is the ideal remedy to escape the stresses and pressures of daily life.
A sumptuous Smugglers Cove hideaway, set amidst the spectacular North Cornwall coast for picture perfect beach views. Evocative in both name and scenery, the historic Smugglers Cove is romantically set between Newquay and St Ives, along the sandy beach of Portreath. It's right here that you'll discover the aptly-named Beach House Smugglers Cove, a luxurious four-bedroom holiday home that's ideal for family or group breaks with a picturesque difference. (Well-behaved dogs are welcome too, so nobody has to miss out on all the fun!) Just step inside to discover a light, bright and expansive ground-floor space that's home to every creature comfort you could want, including a glorious open gas fire to warm your evenings. The décor throughout is fresh and coastal-inspired, showcasing those amazing surroundings to perfection. You can expect plenty of high-end additions, of course. A Sonos sound system will help create the perfect mood, while the hot tub is the ideal place to unwind over a glass of bubbles, as you gaze dreamily out to sea. Oh - and did we mention there's a cinema den, too? Relax and enjoy the latest Hollywood blockbusters, once the sun has set on yet another wonderful day. Though on hazy summer evenings, you might prefer retreating to the outdoor firepit area instead, sharing holiday stories over a post-dinner tipple or two. Indeed, with outdoor speakers and an al fresco kitchen area that features a built-in barbecue, you won't have to go inside at all if you don't want to. Enjoy morning coffee whilst watching the crashing waves, then plan out the day ahead. There's plenty to see and do, from heading down to the beach below and building sandcastles, to taking romantic coastal walks - surely no better way to fire up your creative spirit! Head south to Bassets Cove if you're in the mood for a longer ramble; the five-mile route there and back includes some truly breathtaking scenery. Or if you prefer getting on your bike, there are plenty of dedicated paths to follow, some created from the old tram roads that once transported ore from the mines. Meanwhile, Portreath is a friendly beach that's popular with surfers and bodyboarders as well as families, and if you wander into the village, you'll discover some wonderful independent shops and cafés to while away your time in. Yet if all that sounds just a little too strenuous for you, there's nothing wrong with grabbing that book you never seem to find time for at home, and simply losing yourself in the exquisite comfort of the Beach House.
