Nestled in gorgeous gardens complete with woodland, grassy meadows, fruit trees and even a stream and pond, it is the perfect country retreat for those wanting lots of outdoor space. Inside the cottage you'll find luxurious, country-chic rooms in soft, gentle colours to promote a sense of calm complete with characterful original features such as beamed ceilings, wooden floors and a fabulous wood burning stove. This is the perfect getaway whatever the season, with lots to do on your doorstep when you can bear to leave this stunning home stay which is just 3 hours from London.
Special 'Just for Two' rate
A special 'Just for Two' rate applies outside of school holidays, peak weeks, bank holidays, Christmas and New Year. At Apple Blossom House the Just for Two couples rate is 20% discount, this is on the basis that only the master bedroom is used during your stay.
Super-snug and relaxed, the pretty living room has a cosy wood burning stove that will make you want to curl up with a blanket with a mug of hot chocolate and gaze at the flickering flames all night. Traditional blends effortlessly with deep, uber-comfy Loaf sofas and chairs that are made for relaxing, whilst there's a surround sound cinematic system and a 4k HD TV for film nights or when you want to listen to your favourite music. In addition, there's a cute Loaf desk and chair for those who just have to catch up on some work (though we don't recommend it!).
The country-style kitchen is fabulously spacious and has everything you'll need to create fantastic feasts. There's a Stoves seven-ring gas range with double oven and a cast iron griddle plate, oak-topped work surfaces, double Belfast sink and cream cupboards contain all the other essential kitchen equipment including the all-important Nespresso coffee machine. There's also an utility room which handily stores the washing machine and tumble dryer. In addition, there's a characterful farm-kitchen style dining table and chairs for mealtimes.
There are three superb bedrooms to choose from. The stunning en suite master bedroom is as pretty as a picture in shades of grey, blush pink and white, the warm original wooden floor and beams add tons of character whilst you can lie in the super-king-sized bed and gaze out the window to the garden and trees beyond. The second bedroom is just as gorgeous with a French-inspired king-size bed, spacious double wardrobe and eye-catching finishing touches. The third bedroom is a handy zip-and-link meaning it can either be twin beds (perfect for little ones) or zipped together to make another king-size bed. All beds come swathed in gorgeous bedding and luxurious cushions and throws to ensure a blissful nights' sleep.
The master bedroom has an en suite Fired Earth shower room whilst there's a separate bathroom with a gorgeous, free-standing, rolltop bath and hand-held shower. Both have heated rails to keep towels warm and fluffy.
Take time to explore with wild meadows, a stream and pond, grassy paths and woodland walks. The woods are pungent with wild garlic in early summer. whilst fruit trees are pink-tinged clouds of blossom in spring and laden with fruit in autumn. Little ones and dogs will love exploring this natural playground, whilst it's just perfect for a picnic under the shady boughs of the trees in high summer. In addition, there's a barbeque and a picnic bench for a spot of alfresco dining.
There is plenty of private parking outside the front of the cottage.
Apple Blossom has WiFi so if you need to keep in touch with the outside world you can.
There is a travel cot, high chair and stair gate for your use should you need it (please bring your own bedding for the cot).
Three dogs are very welcome at Apple Blossom.
