Annasbill Cottage

This charming, terraced cottage is situated close to the beach in the coastal town of Amble, a delightful, busy fishing port on the Heritage Coastline to the south of Warkworth. This character cottage has been lovingly refurbished and now offers all the cosy comforts you could ask for during your holiday, whilst still retaining some traditional features, including a large inglenook fireplace, wooden floors and sash windows. The ground floor comprises a bright and airy sitting area with plantation shutters, sumptuous sofas and a warming woodburner, a well-equipped, fitted kitchen, small dining area and a family bathroom. At the end of the day, climb the wooden staircase with sisal carpet where two lovely bedrooms, both stamped with the owner’s unique sense of style, beckon invitingly to rest your weary limbs. The cottage also benefits from a very small, enclosed rear yard with a bench; a wonderful place to relax with a drink at the end of a busy day. A short stroll from your cottage will take you to the town centre, with an array of pubs, restaurants and takeaways all serving good food and beverages. Amble nestles on the River Coquet estuary at the southern gateway to the Northumberland AONB, so why not take a walk through the Sunday market and pick up a bargain? Guests can also walk along the harbour front pathway to the marina and admire the many seafaring vessels, grab an award-winning ice cream at Spurelli’s or take a longer stroll to Warkworth following the River Coquet with its many swans gliding gracefully by. A short drive will take you to the coastal villages of Craster and Alnmouth, or you can explore popular Alnwick with its imposing castle and famous gardens. A delightful cottage for a coastal break.
