The Paddock

The Paddock has 17 hard standing pitches and 1 grass and is located adjacent to our existing caravan and motorhome dealership. The Paddock is situated alongside the River Wear and and only 5 minutes walk from Wolsingham Market Place.

Facilities include fresh water point, waste water point, chemical toilet disposal, information board and security barrier. The newly converted shower and toilet block has a ladies and gents area, each with 2 washbasins, 2 showers and 2 toilets.

A short path leads steeply down to the river, this path is suitable for the more active person, who would like access to the river with their dogs in the warmer months. 2 minutes walk from the site is a public footpath which leads down to a lovely riverside walk.

5 Minutes walk from the Paddock is the Market Place, where we have the local butcher, baker's shop, pharmacy, gift shop, Spar and convenience store.

10 Minutes walk from the site we have the Bay Horse Hotel, where dogs are allowed in the bar and the Black Lion Public House which allows dogs. Seating is available in the warmer months outside Buon Appettito Italian restaurant for dog owners and the same with No.10 , the coffee shop in the Market Place.

Wolsingham Wayfarers have produced a series of leaflets for walks around Wolsingham and the surrounding area, available free of charge from our Reception.

Hamsterley Forest is 6 minutes drive , where there are miles and miles of walks for you and your dog.

The Paddock is suitable for stopovers, mid-week breaks, long weekends and longer holidays. Come and explore beautiful Weardale with your dog, a warm welcome assured.
