This was the first beach that our River was let off his lead so we did not know what he would do. As the beach is secure we felt he would be safe. He was brilliant and he had an amazing time, it was the highlight of our holiday. The water was not too deep in the shallows so he had fun in the sea. The beach is quite small which in a way is ideal for dog owners trying out a dog friendly beach for the first time. There are plenty of shops that River was impressed by as they sold excellent pasties that we took onto the beach. We are going back in June, cannot wait. I think River is more excited. West Bay is a great place for dogs great restaurants dog friendly and quirky cafes.

Dogs are not allowed on the beach immediately in front of the houses, but can be walked under the cliffs on the east and west sides of the bay.
