Alison Gadd, July 2023
The views of Foreland Point and Countisbury Hill from the Lynmouth beaches are wonderful and relaxing in themselves. You can walk from one side of the bay to the other when the tides are out. Plenty of parking, public toilet, flat paths above the beach as well, perfect for accessibility. Wonderful ice cream. Some of the best fish & chips at The Esplanade Fish Bar. Our Daisy loves the small cod sections we share with her, together with the occasional chip. Welcome after she has run free on the beach and nearby path and park, had a dip in the sea and dried off with yet another stroll up the wooded river Lyn valley towards Watersmeet. Perfect genuinely dog friendly Lynmouth. Spectacular views from the beach up towards the little Switzerland of Lynton. She is also welcome on the lift that connects the two villages. Where Exmoor meets the sea. In our eyes, and Daisys, the best walks ever!
