Harlyn Bay

The beach is open to dogs all year round, which is amazing for Cornwall. Access to the beach from the site is quick and easy - no roads. There is lovely clean sand, and the bay is long, so our young lurcher can really let off steam without affecting other users. The beach slopes to the sea gradually so she was in no danger, but able to run in and out safely. Little rocky outcrops provided great interest for a very inquisitive pup. The café at the end of the beach is a perfect destination for s as drink, cake or light snack. Perfect location!

I have to say this is mine and Eddies most favourite beach due to its beautiful location, and fabulous café, it sells a variety of hot and cold drinks and food and of course doggie treats. It never gets too busy and its a place you can totally relax; looking at the amazing sea views. The beach is very safe and clean for doggies and their humans

Harlyn Bay has beautiful golden sands, long and wide spacious and perfect for dogs. It is dog friendly all year round. When the tide is out, there's lots of space to walk throw a ball and explore.

It is accessible when the tide is in, which is great when you have a dog and like to walk on the beach first thing in the morning or last thing at night.

It is quiet and not hugely touristy, although I don't normally visit during school holidays. There are no shops, other than the beachside café, which serves good quality homemade food.

This is the type of beach I enjoy, peaceful and quiet, without tons of tourists and tacky beach shops.

There are some sand dunes and you can walk from the beach onto the coast path in several places. If you walk the coast path towards Mother Ivy's Bay (around Trevose Headland), you get to Constantine Bay and Treyarnon Bay, both dog friendly all year round. Constantine Bay is another large, beautiful beach with glorious soft sand. This part of the coastal path is easy to walk you can cut off Trevose Headland to make it shorter and catch a bus back to Harlyn Bay from either Constantine Bay or Treyarnon Bay.

I love nothing more than sitting on Harlyn Bay beach with my dog after a good day, gazing out to sea and watching the sun set getting lost in the beauty and sounds of the beach and sea.
