We are a family run country pub and restaurant. Born out of a passion for great food and hospitality we are committed to bringing you the very best in local produce, friendly service, fantastic wines, and a great selection of local beers. With our resident black labrador Toby in his usual spot at the bar, you can be assured of a warm welcome for your four-legged friends, and perhaps a treat or two.

We offer reservable tables for dining only, a pub and dining area that welcomes dogs & muddy boots, and a large secluded garden for those sunny days and evenings.
Located on the outskirts of Colchester, Essex we are family-friendly and open five days a week. We have also just been awarded 2 rosettes from the AA Restaurant Guide.

The owners and their staff are extremely dog friendly and welcoming! They have a lovely black lab puppy who is getting used to greeting visitors. The food is excellent as is the service! 🐾
