Lovely flat beach that is great for dogs (and humans) to run around on as well as paddle in the sea. Main access via ramped slipway (what3words reference: crowd.defend.relay.) with concrete steps back up to Royal Albert Drive at various points as you walk towards the castle headland. I used steps with w3w ref: winner.email.boat. and then strolled back along the promenade where there are some cafes and a giant steel sculpture entitled Freddie Gilroy and the Belsen Stragglers.

There is roadside pay & display parking starting from the slipway, right around the headland to south bay harbour but this fills up very quickly during peak season and on fine weather weekends during the rest of the year.

There are no litter bins on the beach itself but plenty available on the promenade, so no excuse for leaving anything behind!

NOTE: Although North Bay is one long sweeping beach, this part is approx 200m away from the Scalby/Sea Life Centre section. The area in between is subject to a seasonal dog restriction ban from the beginning of May to the end of September (possibly even from Easter onwards)
