We are delighted to announce our 14th DogFriendly Awards and you can vote or nominate for a dog friendly place or service until 11th October.
The DogFriendly Awards are your opportunity to recognise and reward dog friendly places and pet businesses that go the extra mile for the benefit of the UK’s 12.5 million dogs and their owners. Winners of the DogFriendly Awards in each of the categories are chosen by public vote.
All voters get entered into a prize draw to win £500 to spend on a dog friendly holiday and the finalists and winning businesses are invited to an Awards ceremony in November.
Please do help us to recognise those businesses that go the extra mile for our dogs.
Frequently Asked Questions
If your favourite dog friendly place is already on our website you just need to find them via our Awards search then vote for them via the link on their page.If you cannot find them on our website do nominate them for an Award, which will mean others can vote for them too!
Instructions to nominate should be clear if you cannot find your favourite business through search.You can also nominate when you login as a registered/club or VIP member within your account profile.
Finalists are the three dog friendly businesses that have received the most public votes in their category during the period of the competition.
If you are a business owner and would like to get votes for the Awards. You just need to find your listing on our website and share with your customers, asking them to click on the vote button on your page. If you aren’t listed yet on dogfriendly.co.uk yet, just register as an advertiser, add a listing and then share your page. Visit our Advertisers page to get started. It is free to set up a listing.
You can see the number of votes your business has received via your website profile. If you have registered as an advertiser, login to your profile area and there will be an up to date count of votes next to your listing details. Only you can see the number of votes you have received through your profile area.
If you receive over 100 votes you will get a TOP VOTES certificate added to your page on our website. This shows our DogFriendly members and users that you are a highly recommended dog friendly place or service to visit.
Reviews you receive as part of the Awards voting (all voters are asked to give a reason for voting) will be automatically added to your web page on our website after approval. Again, your reviews will show our members that you are highly regarded as a dog friendly business.
When you are logged into your profile on the DogFriendly website you cannot see the yellow VOTE button on your listing page. This is to prevent you voting for yourself. However, when you share your page with others they will see the VOTE button without issue.

Category Specifics
Cottages/Self Catering – The three Awards sub categories for 2026 will be:
- i) 1 property
- ii) 2 to 5 properties
- iii) 6+ properties (no agencies please)
Shop category – Those entering into the shop category should have a physical store (not online only). A separate Award will be given for shopping centres.
