Awards - Terms and Conditions

  • You can vote or nominate for a dog friendly place or service until 13th October 2024.
  • Finalists are the three dog friendly businesses that have received the most votes in their category during the period of the competition. Businesses must ensure that they are listed in the correct category for their business. No corrections can be made after the 13th October 2024.
  • Individuals are only allowed to vote for a business once and cannot vote multiple times using multiple e-mail addresses.Individuals should not vote for a business or service they have not used.
  • Votes will be counted and finalists contacted during the 7 days after 13th October. The finalists will be announced via our website and social media in November.
  • All voters get entered into a prize draw to win £1000 to spend on a dog friendly holiday. The winner of the prize draw will be selected at random on w/c 14th October and will be invited as a special guest to the Awards Ceremony on 21st November.
    • Be greeted with a glass of champagne on arrival, a delicious three-course dinner on both nights and full English breakfast the following morning. The prize also includes a VIP doggy-goodie bag which includes treats, toys and a dog bowl for your pup. A dream getaway for you and your pooch.
    • The dinner, bed and breakfast prize is based on two people and their dog/s (up to two dogs) sharing a dog-friendly room for 2 nights with a VIP Pooch goodie bag included for each dog.
    • The prize is valid for six month’s following the competition closing (13th October) and is subject to availability on selected dates, is not transferable and cannot be exchanged for a cash value.
  • The finalists will be invited to a live awards ceremony on 21st November 2024 where the winners of the Awards will be announced. Trophies and certificates will be posted after the event.
  • The number of votes each business receives will not be revealed to other parties except the business itself through their profile account. DogFriendly will not be able to respond to individual requests for number of votes or placing within the competition.
  • We will only reveal the three finalists the week after the voting closure date and only reveal the winners of each category at the Awards ceremony which is expected in early November. Results of the winners and runner up finalists will be published on our social media and the website shortly after the Awards ceremony.
  • If you are a finalist and invited to the Awards ceremony you will receive an Awards as part of the presentation. If you are not able to make the Awards we can post an Award out to you. However, due to increased delivery costs we will need to make a small charge of £10 for each Award sent. We can send you a pdf certificate for you to print or display at no charge. You can also use a finalist or winners logo on your website and/or socials.
  • To prevent fraudulent voting, only one vote per dog friendly business is allowed for each IP address (individual computer location address). This may cause issues for businesses who would like their employees or customers to vote for them while on their premises via a wi-fi connection (sharing the same IP address). Voters should use mobile data to vote in these circumstance where a different IP location will be created.
  • The Awards is run as a free to enter social competition so we do not prevent family members and friends voting for businesses, most of which are family run and used by family members.
  • DogFriendly reserve the right to disqualify an entrant in the Awards should there be any evidence of cheating or any action that may bring the awards into disrepute
  • Business and personal data collected as part of the Awards competition is done so in accordance with our standard privacy policy and those of our Awards partners that can be read here
