Included are walks around the beautiful grounds of Audley End Park and the magnificent nature reserve at Chafford Gorges; beside the River Lea Navigation in Lee Valley Park and the bubbling Pincey Brook at Hatfield Broad Oak; through glorious stretches of woodland at Colne Engaine and Wrabness; and along estuaries and quiet beaches at Paglesham and Bradwell on Sea; which are a haven for wildlife.
Norfolk is a wonderful county for dog walking and the walks in this book have been carefully selected to make the most of of the beautiful countryside. They include the dunes at Holme next the Sea, salt marshes at Salthouse; woodland packed with adventure and scents in Thetford Forest and by Felbrigg Hall, looking out for otters by the River Wensum at Fakenham; and strolling through the Royal country park of Sandringham.
The walks vary in length from 2 to 6 miles and include stunning coastal walks in Southwold and Thorpeness; an impressive Stone Age ditch and dyke near Newmarket racecourse beside a huge expanse of heath, peaceful riverside walks at Snape Maltings, and rambles packed with scent and adventure in Rendlesham Forest and the King’s Forest.
