The 20 circular routes in each of these books have information on the distance and terrain, livestock likely to be encountered, number and type of stiles en route and, in an emergency, the nearest veterinary surgery.
There are walks through the ancient woodland of Toys Hill and Shoreham Woods; the lovely parkland of Penshurst Place and the tranquil scenery of the River Medway. There is also the chance to visit the imposing Cliffe Fort on the Thames Estuary; the intriguing Darnley Mausoleum in Cobham Park; the ancient ruins of Tonbridge Castle and many picturesque villages and towns such as Groombridge, Lenham and Cranbrook.
Norfolk is a wonderful county for dog walking and the walks in this book have been carefully selected to make the most of of the beautiful countryside. They include the dunes at Holme next the Sea, salt marshes at Salthouse; woodland packed with adventure and scents in Thetford Forest and by Felbrigg Hall, looking out for otters by the River Wensum at Fakenham; and strolling through the Royal country park of Sandringham.
