Kent Dog Friendly Pub Walks

This collection of 20 tried-and-tested circular
walks, all between 4 and 6 miles, has been written
specifically for dogs and their owners, allowing
for maximum off-lead time. These routes will
allow you to explore somewhere new, safe in
the knowledge that the surroundings will be
suitable for your dog.
At the heart of every route is a dog-friendly pub.
Walk highlights include a stretch along the
Pilgrims’ Way; the meadows and fields around
the North Downs; the picturesque villages of
Fordwich and Trottiscliffe; a seaside stroll
between Sandgate and Hythe; and the fine
sea views from the clifftops at Botany Bay.
All walks include:
– Recommended dog-friendly pubs
– Distances and terrain
– Details of livestock and stiles
– Numbered route directions
– Points of interest along the way
– Contact details for the nearest vets
Local authors David and Hilary Staines enjoy
exploring the countryside with their dog, Jasper
and are the authors of a number of popular
walking guides including Kent: A Dog Walker’s
Guide and Kent Pub Walks
