Fantastic place as such a lovely relaxing experience taking dogs there and always so clean. Staff love dogs and the food is gorgeous...human and dog treats. The pupcakes look awesome! Every new doggie visitor has their photo taken and displayed on wall. The team are so friendly....my 15 year old terrier perks up and trots ahead to get there first for his treat and hugs from staff. They couldn't do more or be more welcoming. Thank you

Love the welcoming , friendly staff who are dog mad. We can’t resist the fantastic scones and cakes and “jammie jacks” at the end of our dog walk. So much so we’ve been nicknamed the “Jammie Jack crew”.Dogs are thoroughly spoilt with sausages and treats and lots of doggy things on their own menu. The girls try so hard to make everyone welcome. This little gem of a place certainly deserves a visit and your award.

So welcoming to both people and pooches. All dogs receive a friendly greeting and you can see how loved they are by the staff. Lots of treats/toys available to purchase, free tennis balls to play with and when we visited their was even a paddling pool outside. Lots of dog friendly events and even a selfie board. As a dog owners, you could not really ask for more! Also very child friendly with books, activities and toys so perfect for whole family.

Watergate is a friendly social space. My dog takes himself off their during our walk as he knows there is always a friendly reception and a drink of water. Bobby the dog also loves the dog friendly ice cream, the spare balls that can be borrowed if we forget ours. They even lent us poo bags one day. The cafe sells lovely cake and coffee and it is clean and tidy no matter how busy. They also collected for a Ukraine charity essentials to be taken to the war zone. They are part of the community hosting events for dogs and their families. They would be worthy winners of this award.

Watergate Cafe is the favourite spot for my lurcher The Lovely Miss Lola.
She speeds up once we are on the path to it! And why wouldn't she- a very warm welcome from all of the staff and she can sit inside or out.
Then there is the woofly doggy cake, pupachinos, icecream and SAUSAGES.

Thai is the fist place Marty runs to even before he goes for his walkies, he’s been knowing to say hi in the kitchen many times!! This is most definitely down to the fact that the staff at Watergate Cafe just loves all the gorgeous furfriends that visit them. They have amazing pup cakes, natural treats, frozeys for hot days and of course….sausages especially for the dogs (Marty’s fav). When it was hot the had s paddling pool with balls to play with, water bowls with fresh water out side etc. it’s the little touches that go a long way. We love it there ❤️

Both my dogs love visiting the cafe as they get thoroughly spoiled with attention and there are so many lovely treats to buy. Homemade liver cake, puppucino’s, ice cream to make a few. There is a fantastic dog playground behind the cafe too. Big variety of homemade cakes and treats all are absolutely delicious.

The staff are really friendly and accommodating lovely coffee and snacks and its great that all of the customers, with or without doggy, are doggy friendly. Only complaint is Jazz (black Labrador) heads straight for the treats display so of course I have to get treats to take home with me lol.

They are on the route of lovely dog walking area and always ensure there are water bowls for thirsty dogs outside, even if you aren't heading into the cafe to buy one of the delicious human or dog-friendly treats, eats or drinks.
The environment is lovely: friendly, peaceful and welcoming to those with dogs and those without. They cater to small children well, also.

They are so welcoming and are always so supportive. I homeschool my autistic daughter and we often take our dog for a walk in the woods then stop off at the cafe. Our dog heads straight there when we are nearby as he knows he gets spoiled rotten!! The staff are aways friendly and often have activities for my daughter so I can relax with a cuppa knowing both my child and my fur baby are happy 😊

They make their very own homemade doggy ice-cream, cakes and treats. They even have a doggy playground and host doggy birthday parties too. They raise money for dog shelters and regularly host special doggy events including community dog walks. Every dog gets the VIP treatment as soon as they enter the Café and they can even get their photo taken in the special photobooth. All the homemade cakes and scones and light bites are absolutely delicious and the staff are so friendly and welcoming.

We go quite a lot with Archer and they have doggy treats and blankets for them plus water bowls and toys. The staff are all very nice with Archie and the human food and drinks are very nice aswell X Its in a great setting by the woods and near watergate lake .

The friendliness cafe around for both humans and dogs!!!! They offer play days and seasonal, fun activities for the dogs and humans of all ages, organise monthly dog walks and a yearly dog show. They cater for the dogs in the cafe offering a selection of dog treats and drinks. And even an organised afternoon tea for our four legged friends. They have created a small outside agility area at the back of the cafe for the dogs to have fun in and during our hot summer days they’ve brought out the paddling pool with balls which the dogs love. Inside the cafe the dogs are welcome and can have their picture taken in the pup frame... all photos are uploaded to their website where they can be admired by dog lovers!

The cafe is situated on the edge of a great park for dogs with swimming and plenty of walking trails. The staff are really experienced with dogs and strive to always improve the doggy experience. Dogs have their own toys, sniff area, section of the cake counter, ice cream, blankets. It’s paradise for dogs - Loki gives it 5 stars and has made some great friends. The cafe is a community interest so is always reinvesting.

Honestly, this cafe is amazing. So much on offer for dog treats (and humans and little humans!) the staff are so friendly too. They always have fresh water out for the dogs and make a fuss of each one through the door. They also have a dog selfie frame, which is brilliant.

My dogs and I love visiting the cafe. All the staff are so friendly and welcoming. They truly love dogs and put on events for them frequently, for example a monthly dog walk with free puppucino. They even have a dog playground with activities behind the cafe.
The cakes are the best I’ve tasted and there is always a variety, along with a choice of homemade pup cakes, liver cakes and biscuits etc for the dogs. Set it a fantastic location with beautiful forest and lake walks, the perfect place to visit with your dogs.

Situated in the perfect place to take your dog for a walk, in the beautiful Watergate Park, the café make dogs feel most welcome. All dogs are given a treat, there are water bowls which are always full, balls for the dogs to play with if you forget to bring one. They sell dog treats and gifts, host regular dog events (such as sponsored walks to raise money for local dog shelters) and every Christmas they collect food for the shelters too. They even have spare leads and have reunited many lost dogs with their owners. They are caring, considerate, extremely friendly and go above and beyond.

I visit regularly, and they absolutely love dogs! Any doggy companion gets a dog biscuit when their human visits, and they nominate a "dog of the week" every week, who wins a pack of treats. They organise group dog walks from the cafe. They're the most dog focussed cafe I've ever visited!

We live approximately 5 miles from watergate, and even though we have saltwell park a one minute walk from our house we choose to go to watergate for the lovely ladies at this cafe! The girls make such a fuss of us and our dogs. We recently rescued a dog from a kill shelter in Romania who is nervous of everyone and everything, yet when she approaches the cafe she gets so excited and joins in with our other resident dogs of pulling towards the cafe as they know the inevitable dog sausages are waiting!

Such a great place! A dog friendly cafe. Lovely staff and equally lovely food! The welcome for both us and dogs alike is second to none. Always remembering our dogs names and making our visit especially with a new lively puppy, trouble free! It's the one place we know we can go and have a relaxed and enjoyable cuppa with Bramble and Wyspa. Would highly recommend!!

Consistently and truly THE most dog friendly cafe we go to. Its not just the fab food and drinks. It's the friendly service, the fact that my dog is known and welcomed in her own right. Theres the thoughtfulness of cuddles and dog blankets and balls. And sausages....And then there are the wonderful organised events- the walks, paw print and photo sessions, dog of the week and the christmas collection for our local shelter. A wonderful community resource that I encourage everyone I know to use
