They prefer dogs to humans! Wonderful amenities (blankets, toys) and a brilliant doggy roast which means my dog won’t walk anywhere in the village but other than to the sun

The landlady always give our dog a warm welcome, lots of fuss, a throw and biscuits. Or girl loves it here and drags us from the car park to get inside.

Have had some wonderful times in there with our dogs whilst on holiday. Pauline and her staff could not be anymore welcoming to both us and particularly to our dogs, spoil them loads! 😃🐶🐶

The best dog friendly pub with a warm welcome where the dogs get better treatment than the humans which is the best way. Love the pub and warm hospitality

The most dog friendly pub I have been in. Our four legged friends get a bed to lie on , biscuits and there’s always water in a bowl for them. Dogs dinner with ice cream to follow available for them too. Best place

We regularly bring our 3 dogs to The Sun. Pauline and her team are fantastic with them and we always buy 3 x Doggy Sunday Dinners. One of our dogs is blind and Pauline always makes sure that nobody is in the way and lets her be able to walk freely. Truly the most welcoming pub and very much dog friendly not dogs tolerated!!

Because it is an exceptional place where the dog are treated with the same service a person expects. There is always treats blankets water towels and the home made doggy Sunday dinner is worth going to it alone. The fact the proceeds from this are donated to a dog charity is a bonus and the dogs are not used as a money maker

Most dog friendly pub ever been too - Pauline and the rest of staff so accommodating for different dogs needs - my last dog was not great with other dogs so we were always found a table in the corner with a blanket and treats ☺️ Our new dog is nervous of people so we get put in a corner for that reason now - love it here , fab food and atmospheric and dogs love it 😍

Fabulous place. Staff always
accommodate dogs and are so friendly. At a recent birthday celebration places were set for our two dogs and food & water available for them. Pauline & staff always welcome both us & our dogs and are so lovely with them!

We have two large dogs; our youngest at 16 months had never been in a pub before and oh my! What a welcome we received! Dog blankets by the table, dog biscuits whilst we ate, plenty of fuss all round. Fantastic.

The Sun Inn is the friendliest pub for dogs. My dog actually whines if if he can’t go in! Doggy roasts, treats and dog blankets Plus a big fuss awaits all canine visitors
