We’ve stayed several times at The Hayloft, unbelievably cosy, homely and peaceful. The surrounding area is full of beautiful scenery and waking up to open the curtains to see amazing countryside just outside the door. Absolute must visit for anyone, even if you don’t have a dog.

We recently hired Charlene for a session with our anxious dog Hugo, she made him feel very at ease and supplied us with a very comprehensive tailored report on things we can do to ease his anxiety and reduce his reactivity, we found she was far more thorough than other behaviourists we have consulted and were extremely happy with the session, the plan and the length of aftercare she has given us. We can’t recommend her enough for dogs with anxiety, reactivity or behavioural problems! 5* rating from us!

We stayed at the Hayloft Cottagebthis year and had the most relaxing holiday with our two dogs. Cottage is lovely with everything you need for a relaxing holiday. Dogs provided with treats, throws, towels and poo bags! Human owners provided with treats too and a warm welcome. Charlene made sure we knew the best places to walk the dogs , where to go for days out and dog friendly eateries.
Shelby and Billy had stayed in the dog hotel previously and Shelby was determined to try and stay there again, getting fussed by Charlene and not wanting to go home.The view from the Cottage is wonderful and brings quiet to your heart.

The Hayloft is situated in beautiful countryside with stunning views all around. Dogs are made to feel extremely welcome as are the humans.
The cottage has everything needed for a relaxing and or romantic stay for the humans, as well as everything that a dog needs. When you stay at the cottage you are offered private use of a large field to walk your furbabies and on arrangement with the owner their is an enclosed paddock with agility equipment for you pooch to enjoy. The cottage also has an enclosed garden which is idea for when your pup needs a toilet break or should the humans fancy a cuppa in the peace and quiet of the countryside.
Charlene is a fantastic host. Charlene is very warm and welcoming. And most importantly Patch loves Charlene and his holidays at The Hayloft.

This place is beautiful with everything kept beautifully clean and well looked after the area is beautiful as well very peaceful and my dog loved it there, he could look out window watching what was going on with nature, it has its own enclosed garden for you and the doggies and you have access to some open fields for yourself and dog/s all to yourself and access to the agility field when not in use 😀

I have stayed in many dog friendly holiday cottages, some less dog friendly than others. Having five dogs, from tiny yappy dogs to an eight stone dog, it is really important to find the right location. Across the fields belonging to Charlene are beautiful and we can walk for hours, including being offered the use of 4 acre securely fenced space for free-range runs! the accommodation itself is always absolutely spotlessly clean and feels welcoming. There is a truly warm and caring welcome on arrival, which continues throughout the stay. It is the beauty of the views, the peacefulness of the accommodation city of spirit and kindness from the people providing The holiday cottage, which makes it an experience which is difficult to define, all I know is when I arrive there my shoulders begin to drop, I read more easily and the dogs are utterly at home and excited at once.

On site we had access to behaviour consultation with Charlene, who is qualified in kind positive up to date, behaviour and training, we also had private walking, agility fields, everything you could want for really. The extra touches of comfort and vegetarian/vegan food and treats add a lovely touch. An excellent country pub along the lane serves great food in a friendly, rustic atmosphere. Very helpful and friendly hosts in the cottage- our favourite stay with the pups.

The cottage is beautiful with great views from the big windows and Charlene and Rob the owners are fantastic hosts. With welcome packs all from local providers which is a lovely touch.
Then there is the dog friendly part (friendly doesn’t even come close) the garden is fully enclosed so no fear of escaping puppies, and if she has space with her doggie hotel clients, the option to use the big paddock with agility equipment is amazing for the dogs.
