I joined the Golden Academy back in June 2022, I can honestly say that it was the best thing I could have done for me and my golden retriever. Breed specific training gives so much insight into why your dog reacts to situations. Having just rescued a young golden retriever boy, who has had no training, this is invaluable. The community that Kate has created is like having your own family to share good and bad times with, love it.

This group is truly inspirational. Closely linked to canine pedagogy it really helps me to connect with two gorgeous golden retrievers. I have learned so much since joining in January despite being a goldie owner for nearly 20 years. Kate Bond is outstanding in her commitment, knowledge and delivery. Other group experts, including Carl Rose are on hand to support you through your ‘take anywhere’ golden journey. Kate is an excellent instructor and is so supportive to the members of this group. She spoon feeds all the information so that it is easy to understand. The Golden Academy changed everything for me and my puppy. I had read all of the books, googled for hours and yet still I felt like I was doing everything wrong. Tearfully, I resigned myself to the fact that I had failed at being a dog mum.
Then I joined the Golden Academy and we started training and living in a way that made so much sense. Progress started happening really quickly. The content is so accessible and comprehensive bolstered by excellent advice and support from the trainers and community. Kate's passion for dogs and their wellbeing and happiness is contagious. I joined the Golden Academy last year having struggled with my golden retriever at training classes, he was always the class clown. Kate explains things in detail, breaks each task/game into small segments and shows videos so you can understand what you are aiming for. Best thing I ever did for my dog and me.

The golden academy has been life changing for me and my dog. The expert advice is available online but also live q&a every week and masterclasses/hot seats where we learn so much about how to keep our dogs happy, safe and most of all loved because we learn how our dogs feel. Kate is so warm and friendly and her fb group has to be the most friendly group around. Nothing is too much trouble and all aspects are included from training to really understanding how our goldens feel. When an expert shares their knowledge it benefits so many people but she also is so modest and real too . Kate's program has been a game changer for me and for my Golden Retriever puppy, Gracie! She is a wonderful and sweet girl, but she has a bit of a sassy/stubborn side that I have not dealt with before (she is my 6th golden girl). After just a short time in Kate's program, I noticed very positive changes and we continue to work through the on-line modules with continuous improvement.
