Such an amazing organisation- not only are the dogs so happy in an open green space in an urban centre, but also they support people with learning disabilities to access work experience and learn valuable social skills. Both my dog and my autistic learning disabled son attend the setting. The people leads are so friendly and knowledgeable. It’s a true local asset at the heart of the community with dogs and people in mind. They really deserve to be celebrated.

I am so thankful that we accidentally found out about Dog Squad. It is the most amazing place, not only a dog day care, but a therapeutic setting for those who need a bit of dog love. It has helped my child so much, when anxiety meant that life was frequently too hard and he was nearly house bound. He is given the space to just chill with the dogs when he needs to. When he feels able he can get involved with grooming, walking, training or agility with them. The staff are wonderful, so kind and full of enthusiasm for what they do. We have been given the flexibility to try different days to see which suits him best. He is so happy here and I can guarantee that he will have a beautific smile most of the time. He is recovering slowly and I have no doubt that some of this is due to Dog Squad.

Layla has been at Dogs Squad since it first opened. When Layla was a puppy she was timid and nervous, as we weren’t able to socialise her due to lockdown. Dogs Squad was the perfect place for Layla to meet other puppies and dogs, as well as make lots of human friends too.
She is now a very confident little dog and has been at Dogs Squad for 5 years. She knows when it is her day to go and runs in to see all of her friends as soon as we arrive.
A day at Dogs Squad makes Layla a very happy dog.

The Dogs Squad is not only amazing for the dogs but also for the members too, the staff are extremely friendly and supportive and it is obvious that all the dogs love coming here! The staff at Dogs Squad care. They know your dog almost as well as you do, they are patient and loving, and genuinely want the best for your and other dogs there. It's an environment that fosters strong relationships between other dogs and is fantastic for helping socialise. The games they play during the day with the dogs are mentally stimulating. It's not a revolving door of any amount of dogs on any day, Obi has made friends that he gets giddy to see every Wednesday and comes home absolutely pooped! Every dog deserves a Dog Squad day!

Brilliant CIC supporting people with Learning Disabilities whilst offering safe, stimulating and fun day care for pooches. Our Whippet-cross has really benefitted from her once-per-week treat, she's grown hugely in confidence and is now significantly more sociable around other dogs (& people!). All of the staff are welcoming, clearly have a love for dogs, and all work really hard.
The space available for the dogs to explore is brilliant. There's lots of outdoor space as well as an indoor area. We love it!

This is the most fantastic place for dogs, my little one Curly Sue was a very shy dog with separation anxiety, we enrolled her into Dog Squad and she has come on leaps and bounds, her confidence has grown and she LOVES her days at Dog Squad with the amazing staff and helpers. I moved my dog Ozzy to the dog squad from another dog daycare because I had heard such great things about them and I’m so glad I did as it’s been the best thing for not only Ozzy but myself too. That Tilly, our pushy poodle, loves The Dogs Squad with a passion, well that’s totally obvious.
What was much less obvious to me when signing Tilly up was that I would meet, talk, laugh, and become friendly with at least a dozen families who are also associated with The Dogs Squad - and that includes my fellow dog owners as well as all the wonderful people and their families who spend time with my Tilly twice a week and who love her too.

Our schnauzer/terrier cross, Billy, goes to The Dogs Squad CIC every Thursday. She absolutely loves it and the staff and members have really got to know and love her. She has become very attached to the staff and members and likes to help John with DIY jobs around the place! The Dogs Squad CIC also supports adults with additional needs (members) who spend quality time with the dogs. This is a wonderful place which provides incredible support for both the dogs and the members. It’s always a really happy and positive place to go to and we have real peace of mind when Billy goes there. Plus she sleeps like a log afterwards!

Our eleven month old Labrador puppy has been going to The Dogs Squad for a couple of months and absolutely loves it. She knows when it’s her day to go, is up at 6am, breakfast before 7am and is ready & waiting to go in as soon as it opens at 8am!
The staff and volunteers are absolutely amazing and it has a really lovely “feel” about it. All the dogs are sociable and happy and Sienna comes home exhausted. I totally trust The Dogs Squad CIC with her and know she will get the best care, attention, lots of cuddles & playtime with other dogs. They really do deserve to win this award.

Our spaniel Rae has been going to The Dog Squad twice a week since she was a pup and has completed her vaccinations.
To say she loves it is an understatement! She’s has quite nervous tendencies naturally yet she drags me out of the car, up the stairs and through the gates every visit. She’s always desperate to go.
Like with meal times (I didn’t realise dogs were able to tell the time), she sits on the door mat in the mornings of her Dog Squad days waiting to be taken… so lord forbid when there’s a bank holiday and they’re closed!!
The team are great. The drop off and collection process is always smooth and quick. And I love the whole concept of The Dog Squad and the value they add to the local community

My dog Jet has been attending for 5 years. I absolutely love The Dogs Squad. The staff are so friendly and knowledgeable on dog care. Each dog is treated as an individual, you only need to see them running up the steps in the morning to go in to see how much they love it too!
