Its a fantastic cottage, really close to the beach and the village centre, but even more so it's got the dog in mind. Not just dog friendly, but totally welcomed and pampered. Everything is there, and there's dog accessories to borrow too. Rachel is a fantastic host and made everything personal to me and my dog. All I needed to pack was the dog food, and the dog. Stress free and totally enjoyable, highly recommended

First time staying and we will be back. We struggle as a family with 4 dogs, our girls, to find places to stay. Rachel not only said yes but she did 4 individual gifts with bandanas, paw cream, treats. Adult biscuits and prosecco and 4 drying coats. I love that dogs are welcome to sleep on the sofa and on the beds - no rules here which means that it is not pretending to be dog friendly - it really is! Absolutely fabulous little gem. In a superb spot in Robin Hoods Bay. Equipped amazingly for all needs and a super doggy bag for our dog on arrival. The fact that the cottage is so welcoming for dogs makes the whole experience even better.
My initial email reply from rhe cottage owner made me feel very positive about staying there because she loved dogs so much ! A lovely detailed guide was available at the cottage for places to visit in and around robin hoods bay which included places that would allow dogs. This was very helpful.
A lovely doggy dressing gown was available for my murphy to use after one if his walks in the rain. Sunnysude is a fabulous place to stay and I will be booking this again

We have been to Sunnyside Cottage several times and it keeps getting even better each time. Even before we arrive, I am already in a happy holiday mode knowing all the dog friendly items that will be available and don’t need packing plus knowing how relaxed a time we will all have as both humans and dogs are so well catered for and it really is a home from home with such thoughtful extras not usually added and a superb location. Long and short walks straight from the door, dog friendly cafes and such a clean, modern, cosy cottage to come home to each day and recharge ready for another day of adventures. We had a wonderful stay at Sunnyside Cottage, owned by Rachel and her gorgeous little dog Patch. The cottage was spotlessly clean, cosy and had everything you could possibly need, especially for dogs! From treats to cosy blankets, Rachel has thought of everything.🐶
The location is perfect, just a short walk from the beach and close to lovely dog friendly pubs and restaurants.
We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely be back.

Sunnyside Cottage is the most dog friendly cottage I've ever been to. In fact it's dog welcoming. There are a lot of helpful items for your dog, even collar tags with the name of the cottage in case your dog gets lost - a great idea. It's a wonderfully clean and comfortable cottage, a great place to stay with a dog.

We stayed at Sunnyside cottage in June with my sister’s dog Banjo . The cottage was lovely for humans and dogs . There was a variety of treats available for Banjo, dog bowls provided and especially helpful was the dog robe for when he came in soggy from the beach 😁

Rachel and Patch go above and beyond to make this place doh friendly. Our terrier loves that he's allowed to lie anywhere he wants and the dog treats are welcome too! The welcome hamper for him is fab and the practical stuff like dog robes and spare leads are perfect. He even gets his own bandana to remember his stay! The location is ace and we keep going back. We love it here!
A family of 4 - 2 grown ups, 1 kid and 1dog, and this place is made to suit us all! More than dog friendly - I’d say dog obsessed. Our gorgeous boxer Torvi got treats and presents on arrival (as did we) and there were no silly rules like no dogs upstairs or no dogs on beds. We know every member of the family will be welcomed with open arms here so we are free to relax and enjoy a holiday without worrying about anything.
Loads of great walks too and it’s right near the beach plus pretty much everywhere in the bay welcomes 4 legged friends too. Perfect for anyone who takes their dog on holiday (I mean why would you not?!)

Rachel really does go over and above to make sure you and your dog are welcome. So much thought has gone into everything you may need for your stay with a dog.
We were able to fully relax and enjoy our holiday not worrying if our dog would have to try settle in an unknown kitchen or downstairs as some properties expect.

We had to re-arrange to a big loss in our family, and she was so thoughtful and helpful during a really sad time. We had a wonderful few days at Sunnyside Cottage. It was extremely dog friendly and took the pressure out of remembering everything for our dog Ruby. Ruby's welcome pack also went down a treat and the fact she was welcome on all furniture so she could get super cosy was great! The location of the cottage is brilliant, with a only minutes walk to the beach. We made the most out of the beautiful coastal walks and enjoyed every minute of our stay. Rachel and Spencer had the place looking so welcoming and we really did love our stay there. 🐾☺️

Sunnyside is THE most dog friendly dog cottage I’ve ever stayed at! They welcome dogs with open arms and they are treated like a VIP (very important pooches) with loads of goodies for the dogs, they are allowed on the sofas and the beds and they can borrow loads of doggy stuff from the borrow basket.

We recently returned to Sunnyside Cottage for our second stay, and it was just as wonderful—if not better—than the first. The cottage is without doubt the most dog-indulgent place we’ve ever stayed.

I was lucky enough to have a long weekend there in early summer. With a partially disabled dog, it was perfect. Raised feeder was there already, throws for the sofa, and literally a few steps from the beach and village but tucked away so peaceful.
Reba was allowed on my bed and the sunrise view over the water from the window was stunning.
It was so comfortable and had everything I needed, so all I had to do was pack her food, her lead, oh and a few clothes for me! Travelling light because the cottage was so dog prepared and welcoming makes the stay much easier.
And I met the lovely host for a cuppa !
It was an excellent and much needed coastal break, well worth the drive.
