I would like to nominate Sit & Stay Café at Cheshire Dogs Home for a Dog Friendly Award because it is so much more than a café that simply allows dogs through the door. It has been created with dogs, dog lovers and the wider community at its heart.
Sit & Stay Café provides a genuinely welcoming and relaxed space where people can enjoy good food, coffee and cake while bringing their four-legged friends along. Dogs aren't an afterthought here; they are part of what makes the café special. From dog treats and pup cups to dog-friendly events, there is a real sense that our canine companions are valued guests.
What makes Sit & Stay particularly deserving of recognition is the purpose behind it. By visiting the café, customers are also supporting Cheshire Dogs Home and the dogs in its care. It means that something as simple as meeting a friend for coffee with your dog can help make a difference to rescue dogs who are waiting for their forever homes.
The café has also become a wonderful community hub, bringing together local people and dog lovers through events, activities and fundraising. It provides a place where people can socialise with their dogs and celebrate the very special bond between humans and their pets.
I think Sit & Stay Café perfectly represents what being genuinely dog-friendly should mean. It isn't simply a café where dogs are allowed — it is a place where dogs are welcomed, celebrated and made to feel part of the experience.

I would like to nominate this wonderful community café at Cheshire Dogs Home. It is a truly special place where every purchase helps support the dogs in their care, making it so much more than just a café.
It is incredibly dog-friendly, with treats and pup cups available for our four-legged friends. When my dog visited for his birthday, he was made such a fuss of and was even given a birthday hat to wear, which made his day extra special!
The café has such a lovely, welcoming atmosphere and is a fantastic place for dog lovers to meet, enjoy a coffee and know that they are helping dogs in need at the same time. It is a brilliant community café with a wonderful cause at its heart, and I couldn't think of anywhere more deserving of a Dog Friendly Award.

Lovely dog-friendly café with a really welcoming atmosphere. I had a delicious tuna melt panini and my dog absolutely loved his pup cup. Friendly service and a great place to visit with your four-legged friend. We'll definitely be back!
