Debra assessed my dog to be a Pets As Therapy dog but sadly he wasn’t suitable at the time. The feedback and encouragement she offered has not only helped us progress toward this goal but Todd is an all round much happier dog at home too.
She is knowledgeable but realistic and offers amazing support and all with humour. She does the PAT work voluntarily, so we weren’t expecting the level of support we got. She’s wonderful!

Deb is caring of dogs and owners, but very clear and honest about safety and good care of your dog
She is sensitive to the needs of different dogs, and gives lots of free advice and support, far beyond the service we pay for
She is also extremely skilled and knowledgable, ensures safety, and designs classes to meet needs of individual dogs and their owners

The friendly team at Rixton Dog School provide reassuring help and guidance for first time puppy owners. They put the health and well being of your dog at the centre of their training. All instructions are clear and repeated often to gain confidence. All this is done with humour and patience which makes it a winner

I can’t recommend Rixton Dog School highly enough. The staff are excellent-very skilled and knowledgable. My dog has responded brilliantly to the positive techniques employed. Their approach works and I wouldn’t take my dog anywhere else.

I first went to the school with my pup of 12 weeks upon recommendation from others. Almost two years later I’m still going to classes and will be forever I think! My “pup” enjoys it and so do I. The classes are kept small and organised and well run. There is always something to learn and the advice and information is welcomed and easy to understand...what’s more..it works! I have also decided to ask for an extra class per week .
I have recommended the school to many and will continue to do so. Debra, the owner of the school is a first class tutor and facilitator...highly recommended indeed.

Debra is an excellent facilitator and listener. She is able to adapt her classes to suit each dog and each owner(s) so that each partnership feels that they have achieved something each session. Rixton Dog School is a very accepting and open-minded school with classes for every ability level (dogs and owners!!).

Debra has always gone above and beyond for her clients but during lockdown offered much needed advise, support and encouragement via FaceTime, thoughtful texts and calls.
She set challenges on the Facebook page to keep us all entertained and was always there to help.
Her affinity with the animals and clients alike is second to none and she’s actually an unsung hero.
