An outstanding experience where dogs receive the same care and attention as the owners. The accommodation wants for nothing, I clouding a hot tub. Gardens and paddocks are all enclosed so relaxation is guaranteed.

Nothing is forgotten, enclosed gardens, exercise areas, dining areas, doggy baths ....completely dog friendly and very comfortable for owners too. You can walk onto the Quantocks, thearea is peaceful and relaxing. Emma and Simon have the best dog friendly cottages which is why we keep returning.

After recently losing my old dog I phoned and took my very young, new vaccinated pup to Coleridge. It was a great experience! Emma and Simon were very understanding both about our loss and the puppy, no problem about the occasional "accident". We've stayed at this lovely cottage several times and always feel wecome.

We can honestly say our Autumn Break at The Quantock Hide was truly magical. It was so Beautiful and spotlessly clean and the thought that has gone into the decor and interiors is very personal and special indeed. We have never felt so relaxed. The garden, on three levels, was like a little paradise with palms and gorgeous greenery and stunning shades of red and orange Autumn foliage too. The gardens were immaculate, completely private and so secure for our Weimaraner, whom loved it. She is 14 months old and she was so relaxed here too, it was like a little sanctuary. Everything was pristine, plentiful and luxurious. Definitely had a lasting impact and we will only ever return here, we feel nowhere could beat The Quantock Hide. It was unique and so full of character and smelt gorgeous too. Emma and Simon were just so kind and welcoming and their dogs and horses are beautiful. Our Weimaraner, Pumpkin, instantly made friends with beautiful Karma and they enjoyed playing in the private paddocks, which were superb. We also walked in The Quantocks, which were right on the doorstep. The views were spectacular and we visited neighbouring villages, Kilve Beach, The Old Silk Mill, Holford, The Chantry and Blue Anchor Beach, which were only minutes away. There is still so much we need to explore. The Quantock Hide was so beautiful, spacious and cosy, we enjoyed using the hot tub in the evenings, everything was so tastefully lit up with warm ambient lighting outside and inside there were so many beautiful lamps and lights. It’s was Perfect in every way and we will only return here for sure. Would give this more thank 5 stars as it’s truly magical and nothing could come close to this beautiful place. So dog friendly and she is happy, so are we. Could not fault anything at all. We do miss the sound of the owl, which really made us smilie. We had the best stay here.

Quantock cottages are the best place we have ever stayed. The accommodation is superb, the attention to detail is amazing and Emma and Simon really do love dogs, even dogs like ours that aren’t too fond of people.

Everything about the quantick cottages is geared towards dog friendly. Some dog friendly cottages can be quite unclean, show signs of dog hairs, dog smells etc but these cottages are so we'll kept, clean, safe for dogs. Dogs first, humans 2nd but excellent facilities, couldn't ask for more.

We had the most fantastic romantic break away at the quontock hide. We brought our two doggies Hank and Marvin (Hank 1, Marvin 12 weeks) everything was perfect, the dogs where safe and well catered for (Marvin had his first spa bath in the doggy spa) they had a beautiful garden that was fully enclosed. So many lovely walks nearby and as one of our dogs can’t be let off the lead, the enclosed paddocks were a godsend to let them burn off some energy. The cottage had everything a dog could want (including a doggy spa for those muddy paws) not forgetting the attention to detail for human guests was fantastic too! I have never seen a holiday cottage with so many utensils, cutlery, crockery etc literally everything you could possibly need

So much so that we booked our second visit before we had finished our first.

Fantastic cottages and fantastic hosts. Emma and Simon have put everything into making these cottages luxurious for humans and their four pawed friends. We’ve stayed in all the cottages and just love them, everything you could possibly need is provided and love the wood burners for those chilly evenings. The jacuzzis are great after a long days trekking and the tiki bars are great for a cocktail or two. But for us it’s all about the dogs, they don’t want for anything, from the goodies awaiting them on arrival (as well as the humans) to the areas especially created for them to play and exercise, especially useful for dogs that are nervous or can’t be let off the lead, gives them some play time in a safe, enclosed environment. As for Simon and Emma, they are wonderful, friendly, helpful and you can see that they’ve put their heart and soul into Quantock Cottages. Fabulous.

We stayed here with our dog for our honeymoon in April 2018 and, despite horrible foggy weather, we had the most wonderful, memorable stay. Quantock Cottages is a really special, luxurious getaway - they’ve thought of everything and nothing is too much trouble. We received a warm welcome and there were also lots of personal touches that made us feel almost like family. I’ve also never stayed anywhere so clean and well maintained, even though it is dog-friendly. I wish we could give more than five stars!

Lovely cottages for humans but super amazing for dogs. Often 'dog friendly' cottages are full of rules and regulations which brings an extra layer of stress to taking our two wire haired fox terriers away with us. At the Quantocks the dogs are truly welcome, catered for - and just as well looked after. They are essentially practical, luxurious and well through through.

Facilities for dogs are beyond compare. Simon and Emma are always so helpful and can fix any problems, be it human or doggie! We have never found a place to stay that can compare with all the facilities available for dogs. Absolutely wonderful.

Emma and Simon really have thought of everything. It's the first cottage we have returned to as others sound good when we book but we usually find things that aren't suitable for our dogs, garden not reqlly enclosed for instance. Dogs not allowed on sofas etc. But Quantock cottages aren't like that, they genuinely want dogs to have as good a holiday as the owners.

The most beautiful setting, the owners make the holiday special for dogs and provide a gift bag for their arrival. Beautiful walks on the doorstep over the quantocks, a warm bath available for their return. Our Jack Russel Milo enjoyed the cottage, it’s secure gardens and the seaside. We were able to relax enjoy the local restaurant, which also welcomed Milo and prepared a meal to his choice. There was plenty of places to visit near by and the countryside was beautiful.

Had two amazing holidays here so far. Perfect location for lots of walking (from the cottages, no need to drive anywhere), relaxing or sightseeing. The thought that has gone into making the cottages and gardens as comfortable (and safe) for our pet as it is for us is to be commended. This is truely a boutique trip for discerning dogs and their owners. Emma and Simon are just wonderful and have thought of every human and dog need to create a peaceful and relaxing holiday with your four legged family. The location is superb, but it is the attention to detail, comfort and brilliant dog facilities that make this place the antithesis if a pet friendly cottage where even “well behaved dogs” are actually only tolerated. In one cottage they even built a porthole window at dog height for the nosey pooches to watch the comings and goings (with curtain if it proved too much and a reason to bark!). The dog baths are fabulous, the gardens properly secure, (which was very important for us) yet beautiful, interesting, with great smells and things to explore, plus they are mature and well kept. We used the dog agility park two or three times a day which is jag sun completely secure, beautiful and very large. The agility course was ignored by ours but the humans enjoyed it. Emma and Simon, the owners could not be
more accommodating and are genuine dog lovers whose mission is to meet a the needs of dog loving families so everyone is happy. We sat in the hot tub with our two dogs on the bench keeping us company under the beautiful fairy lights and with gorgeous towel robes… it is a heavenly memory. We have been twice and will definitely return, it’s just perfect.

The cottages are of the highest standard and no short cuts taken to luxury. Doggies are made welcome as part of the family. Hey have their own spa, treats and outside spaces. Emma and Simon make sure they are treated as well as their humans so that everyone has a fabulous holiday. Doggies are even given sofa covers so they can join you for a cuddle in the evening. A little slice of heaven in Somerset. Darcy loved the freedom of the Barks, we loved the luxury of Colleridge cottage. Clean, comfortable and very welcoming with everything you could wish for. Nothing is too much trouble for Emma and Simon from adding a bottom plank to the gate of small bark to stop Darcy escaping to bringing fresh mint and cucumber for my Pimms as I forgot to pack any before leaving home! We have never stayed in such a dog friendly cottage before and have booked to stay again.

Just back from a Monday to Friday stay. This is simply one of the most dog friendly cottages, this is how a dog friendly place should be run. The dog ate allowed where they are allowed at home. The only thing they ask if they get up on the bed then please take your own.
The owners are amazing can't speak highly enough of them both. The little extras are amazing.

Everything is set up for the dogs as if they are on their very own sis holiday which makes it so relaxing for us. We love our pups but to have others tear them with such high regard, was a stand out for us. Add to the treats, and agility course it will be our dogs Making the booking next time. Allowing for more than two dogs meant we managed to get away with our daughter and future son in law and their pup so, I can’t say a bad thing about the place, 5* all the way ??

Having stayed at many ‘dog friendly’ places over the years, we were fortunate enough to discover Emma and Simons beautiful properties around three years ago and haven’t stayed anywhere else since. They are simply the top of their game in dog friendly holidays. The properties are luxurious and sumptuous for dogs and their humans alike, if there was a six star rating they would win it hands down. Acres of walks outside your door in a stunning part of the world, wonderful, hosts, I can’t say enough good things about the Quantock Cottages. Oh and when they say enclosed garden, they mean it! Something that I think let’s many properties down, but not here, unless your dogs have a set of bolt cutters they are not getting out of those beautiful gardens! We can’t wait to come back again in January, it’s our solace, and we love it!

The cottage, we stay in, is a lovely, beautifully furnished home away from home, with as much thought put into the comfort and safety of our 3 collies as it is for my wife and I. With both 'hoomans' and collies receiving their own welcome baskets, this is gratefully received after a long car journey. Add to this the Quantock Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, on the door step for long walks with the collies, and the courteousness of our hosts Emma and Simon, makes this a place we love to return to year on year.

I've voted for Emma and the team at Quantock cottages because this is the standard that all dog friendly cottages should aspire to be. This is truly dog friendly, run by dog owners for dogs and well behaved owners only, the dogs have a spa of their own, play areas and an agility area for them to play in. If it wasn't for the distance is be there every holiday regardless. Somewhere to take our furbabies that are allowed in the same areas as they are at home. Please visit and you'll go back again and again

Dogs are allowed in all rooms in cottages. Treats, poo bags, shampoo, towel, etc, on arrival. Outdoor doggy spa to each cottage and exercise field for dogs.
