Superb food and hospitality- how many places can you go and truly eat as a family (fur baby included) and get such a quality experience both food and atmosphere.
Our pup Minnie the Vizsla was spoilt - waited on hand and foot with treats and water, and we were blown away by the fuss and the puppy menu! Can’t wait to come back and feel so lucky to have such an amazing place to visit right on our door step! We’ll be back!

Arriving in south wales with our little dog we decided on a Sunday roast in Pontardawe Inn, good food , BUT, they also had nice little bones for our Vinny and a bowl of water. He could run around and play with other dogs .
The staff threated him as a king. A few days later we returned and got the same attention. if you love dogs , Pontardawe Inn is the place to relax have a nice drink and a good meal , with your dog.
We re from Amsterdam , The Netherlands and really nice stay!!!

Lovely friendly welcoming atmosphere. All the staff are chatty and quick to serve you. The environment is comfortable for humans and dogs and now they have board games too!

Amazing place and you can tell they absolutely adore dogs! Plus they have the best dog menu I have ever seen...it is so awesome to actually include your dog when you go for a meal with actual food, not just treats. Best discovery ever!

The most dog friendly place I’ve been, stall love the dogs, always water etc available for the dogs to drink, dogs are always spoken to and given a fuss. the perfect place to enjoy a break from walking with your dog. Definitely my go to place.

Sion and Michelle were very welcoming, and even allowed us to use empty function room on a busy Rugby International match day so my dog had some space to avoid the crowds. Food is top notch and the dog menu meant that my dog could get his very own chicken breast (other options are available) ridiculously cheap. We have been before and will definitely keep coming.

Milo the JRT enjoys calling in the Pontardawe Inn after a walk down the cycle path in Pontardawe, there is always a warm welcome, plenty of water bows and treat bones

Every time I walk in with my Jack Russell the bar staff bend over backwards to give him an amazing welcome!
Tbh I get quite jealous but tbf it's worth it just to see how happy he is with all the fuss.
The choice of beers is always good too, which is a bonus!

Took my puppy Morgan to the Pontardawe Inn today, this was his first ever pub visit. It was instantly clear that the pub was dog friendly because the staff made him feel really relaxed and comfortable. They gave him water, and some treats and told me about their dog friendly menu for when he is a little older. Morgan settled well in the pub whilst I enjoyed a meal with my family. What makes the pub even better is that there is a lovely dog walk just outside which I am looking forward to exploring. What a lovely positive first visit to a pub for Morgan.

I voted for the Pontardawe Inn because our cockerpoo Toffi has always been made welcome by all of the staff and they treat him like one of the regulars giving him treats and drinks (water not alcohol as he’s under age) whenever he goes there.

They always greet our dog with a fuss and offer her biscuits and a bowl of water, she loves going there and regularly drags my husband in there.....well that's what he tells me!! They also have a doggie menu with lots of tasty treats for a reasonable price. They are fantastic.

Best pub in the Valley. When they say dog friendly they really do mean Dog friendly. Our dogs are made to feel so welcome with treats and special cwtches and cuddles. Staff are always welcoming with excellent food and a good selection of real ales always available.
