An amazing cafe where dogs can take their owners for coffee. My dog always gets excited when going past excited to get in to see her friends and have a sausage or muffin while I tuck into my breakfast or scone. Great place. Highly recommend.

Great cafe , I heard about it from my friend that visited and she was so excited about it I thought I would give it a go with my two ...oh they loved it can run around off lead (as long as you keep and eye on them and they are friendly enough to do so) my little one was a little nervous at first but after a few visits was running around with her sister ...A really special place ....they also have a dog space where if you wish you can put your dog while you eat...great dog treats and gifts too as well as a great menu for us Vegan gluten free all catered for nothing is too much trouble for the owner..

Amazing cafe where you can take dogs with no worries. Thereās lots of toys and beds for your dogs and they can roam free around the cafe. The staff take time to ask you about your dog and make a fuss - all very welcoming. One of our dogs was a little bit over stimulated so had to stay on the lead and there was no judgement. The human food was very tasty and great value and the dogs loved their sausages from the dog menu!

I love to visit Paws for 5, there is always a warm welcome from people and dogs alike. It's the only place I know where dogs are allowed to play off leash with each other and the toys provided. There is a varied menu for both humans and dogs and is great value for money. You may come to Paws as a stranger but you will leave as a friend.

How on Earth was today my first visit!? Iām definitely going to become a regular. Not sure who enjoyed themselves more me or the dog. Couldnāt big this place up enough if I tried. Lovely atmosphere, friendly, talkative staff and wow!! Did not expect the food to be as nice as it was for a doggy cafe but it was really lovely, super tasty and so cheap!!! Our dog is a huge part of our family, as humans we get to go and have fun on nights out or to the cinema etc so itās really lovely to take our dog somewhere where he can have fun with other dogs. Paws for 5 is just the best cafe ever since opening 3 years ago, we my dog and me call almost every day , I`m luck I live only a short walk away its such a friendly place for dogs and their owners ....where dogs if you like can roam and play such a relaxed place but also they have a space play area where you can leave your dog while you eat if you wish....The dogs love all the treats she sells a great range and also for us special diets too nothing is too much trouble for Anne the Owner if she hasnt got something she will get it ...they also sell a great range of toys and collars and leads.......up until lock down they also have great events fun dog shows, breed meet up and fun dog walks...If you love dogs its the place to go.....Anne really works so hard to make this place special, every dog is made to feel so special.....I have made so many great friends there 4 legged and 2...

Paws for 5 is so much more than a doggy cafe, it's a community of like minded people. Some people have been patronising Anne's cafe since it opened 3 years ago, but there are always new visitors who bring nervous dogs, young puppies and rescue dogs who benefit from the socialisation they experience in Paws.
Anne treats every dog as a VIP, who just happen to bring their humans with them.
Dogs have a choice of menu, including special doggy sausages, hand baked wheat free biscuits, pup cakes and a variety of flap jacks, etc.
The humans are well catered for as well, their menu includes vegetarian and vegan options. The cakes are pretty special as well.
I think the one thing which proves that this is a true doggy cafe, is that quite often the dogs turn up a while before their owners. Anne just let's them in, knowing that the owners will turn up soon

First visit today. Both myself and 11month old puppy made to feel so welcome by owner and customers. There was a great variety of refreshments for both dogs and their humans. I will definitely be back.

I love going to paws for 5 everyone is so friendly, my dogs love seeing everyone and there dogs to play with. Also the owner is always very helpful and kind she keeps my dogs safe when my little boy has a meltdown because he's autistic and I have to take him outside to calm down where its quiet and my dogs stay with Anne who they absolutely love. Its such a friendly place and we love celebrating our dogs birthdays here and with other. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

We visit Paws often, my boys love visiting Auntie Anne and enjoying their tasty treats. All are made to feel welcome and 'at home'. Anne organises doggy meet ups and a monthly walk as well as charity fun days to raise funds for various dog rescues.

Lovely cafe, plenty of space for the dogs to interact. Have made great friends through the cafe and know I can go in anytime and be made to feel welcome despite not being able to regularly go. Dogs love it too and I have happy memories of them there., we even have trophies from winning some fancy dress competitions there!

I have just recently found this little gem of a place there are loads of dog friendly places in seaham but this is a cafe for your dogs they just bring the owners along to pay the owner and staff focus on the dogs they have the time of their life they sell yummy food for us and your dogs they have events throughout the year with loads of party's I've been sitting in with my dogs and a dog turned up on its own Anne let it in and 10 minutes later their owner appeared it had ran down on his own highly recommend once you visit you will go nowhere else ???

Paws for 5 is one of the best Dog friendly cafes I have been into...I visit everyday at some point...my dog drags me in on our walks , we are so lucky to live so close to it .. such a wide range of great food for the dogs amazing how much there is....you need to see it to believe it.. I`m also diabetic and Gluten Free and the food is lovely they also do vegan options too and prices are so so reasonable not expensive at all . Anne the owner will put herself out to help with whatever food you need. Its also very child friendly and has a disabled entrance....They put loads of fun events on too ā¦. If you love dogs its the place to go and chat with lots of like minded people ā¦..anyone in the Area with a dog or even without if you just love dogs well worth a visit....!!

Paws for 5 is a real doggy cafe, not just a cafe where you can take your dog. The dogs are allowed off lead so that the can play and socialise, while their owners can take advantage of the tasty food on offer. There is a quiet pen with toys beds and wayer bowls,for any pooch who isnt confident enough to join in. The menu includes vegetarian, gluten free and vegan options.
Anne, the owner,organises special "puppy socials", breed meetups, fundraising events for local charities and doggywalks etc.
The cafe has become a true social hub for local people as well as tourists who are visiting Seaham from all over the country.
She stocks specialist doggy snacks, gifts and a wide selection of collars,leaders and toys. Responsible owners can pick up free poobags. Customers can hold birthday or gotchaday parties, which includes dog friendly cakes,with candles, balloons, games etc.
There is a big field next to Paws, and more than once, dogs have been known to leave their owners and turned up at the cafe door on their own Anne lets, them in knowing their owners won't be far behind.
Little humans havn't been forgotten as there are high chairs and the cafe is breastfeeding friendly.
