The owners have gone to great lengths to make.Mabel's a dog friendly cottage. On arrival a doggie basket containing treats, a toy, Pawseco, poo bags, amongst others. Various size dog beds provided and a utility room for drying down after a muddy walk plus a garden for the dogs to have free rein.. And no charge added fir dogs.

The cottage is so well equipped for doggies. From bowls, towels, beds, even complimentary treats and tennis balls. There is everything you can think of and doggies are treat like welcome guests rather than an afterthought. The location is excellent for exploring the local countryside.

We stayed at Mables cottage in May 2024 for 1 week with our 3 dogs. It is so dog friendly and thoughtful little treats, gate, plenty bedding, bowls, equipment, lead hooks, food, secure garden. We got some beautiful pictures of our dogs at the house. My screen saver still to this day-- over 2yrs later is them sat at the big big tree near the drive.

After a long drive to Skye, the warm welcome for our family, including two kids and 2 dogs, was unrivalled! Beds, treats and blankets for the dogs and Easter eggs for the kids! Plus some adult treats too for the tired parents. Total home from home and we would highly recommend!.

Upon entering you are immediately met with bowl of water and progressing through you find every comfort your dog buddy could hope for. There was also a gift basket filled with wonderful treats and toys thoughtfully put together. Outside the property can be fully closed off for doggy running and lots of nooks to play in. Very lovely place to bring your pooch for a holiday.

We stayed there in 2021 with our dog and he could not of enjoyed it more. When we arrived there was a fresh bed for him, some new toys and a few treats which he loved.
The garden was enclosed and safe and he was able to explore without any fear.

Mable’s Cottage was just as welcoming for our two cockapoos when we visited in June as it was for us. The facilities inside and out of the property were very dog-friendly, from the treats and towels left out for us to use to the comfy dog beds and all the useful information about where on Skye the dogs would be happy and accepted. The Fairy Glen right on the doorstep was an added bonus - great for dog sniffing and exploring.

This was the most dog friendly cottage we have ever stayed in and we have stayed in a fair few! Dog towels, dog beds, a welcome basket for the dog, spare leads and bowls etc. My list could go on!

Mables cottage is the perfect dog friendly property. Our boys loved the safety of the garden, comfortable beds, treats and toys that were provided. The handy cupboard with doggy first aid supplies was an unexpected resource and in many years of visiting dog friendly cottages this was a first for us. Highly recommended.

Lovely quiet cottage with parking and a secure good sized garden backing onto fields in this beautiful part of Skye. Stunning views. Perfect accommodation for humans and dogs with a welcome pack supplied for both.

Mable’s Cottage was probably THE single most dog-friendly accommodation we’ve ever stayed in. It isn’t just friendly for dogs - it’s positively aimed at dogs and their owners. It has everything you could possibly need for a comfortable holiday with your dog - bowls, treats, beds, blankets and a folder of recommendations from places to eat with your dogs to walks to go on. The garden is completely fenced in meaning your dogs have a lovely big garden to mooch and roam around. We truly had a wonderful time and will absolutely return next time we visit Scotland.

Mable’s cottage was a fantastic experience from start to finish. A really welcoming cottage and this is echoed with the care Allan and Frances take throughout your booking. You will struggle to find a better experience on Skye and I would recommend the cottage to anyone visiting the island.

This is by far the most welcoming and dog friendly we have ever stayed at in our 20 years of being dog owners. There was a new tennis ball and dog bed left and lots of treats for our dog. garden was enclosed so was safe for Hugo to have lots of fun, dog bowls and towels left too. When your dog is catered for to this degree it ensures you have a wonderful relaxing holiday too. they were also great for us humans, lovely welcome hamper, logs for the fire and everything you could ask for, a real home from home in all ways

We were lucky enough to stay at Mable's Cottage in February (as Storm Ciara was visiting!) and it exceeded our expectations. The owners have thought of everything and it really feels like a home from home. They even got in touch and told us where everything was in case the power went which was nice of them. The area is beautiful and the scenery is stunning. Mable's Cottage is a great base for walking and the shops and pubs around the island are dog friendly and very welcoming. Skye has lots of walks, well signposted, for all different fitness levels and many of them are circular. Our dog Joey had a great time and that meant we had a great time too.

This is a lovely comfortable cottage. There are every amenity that a man (woman) and his dog would need. There is a large garden where the dogs can play and seek out the wild life. Humans can watch Golden eagles, hunting for food, from the lounge window. You can travel further afield and enjoy the rest of Skye, even if it rains there is always something to do

What a fabulous cottage this is. My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights in February with our 2 dogs Wallace and Nessie. Situated very close to the Fairy Glen's this cottage has everything you could possibly need. Dog beds and food bowls are provided with a lovely garden too. Our dogs felt at home straight away. Lots of beautiful walks close by to stretch both dogs and humans legs. The owners Alan and Frances were very helpful even calling up to check you had everything you need. Highly recommend and we will definitely be back.

We visited Mables Cottage in July with our 2 terriers, Charlie and Minnie.
It is a beautiful cottage, comfortable and warm with a great sized secure garden which our dogs loved. Everything for the dogs was provided including towels, beds even treats! Frances and Allan have carefully thought out every aspect of their cottage and it is totally dog friendly! Would recommend it to anyone wanting to visit Skye who they wish to be accompanied by their four legged family members!

We stayed in Mable’s Cottage for one week during September 2018. It was the perfect place for us to stay, and we only wished that we could have stayed longer. The house situated in a very peaceful area with a superb view, was fitted out very comfortably with everything that one could possibly need. Ted, our Labrador, enjoyed his welcome pack, and most particularly the well enclosed garden. Even though it rained each day of our stay, it did not detract from our enjoyment in any way. It was great at the end of a wet day to go back home and to easily be able to dry out our wet boots and waterproofs in the utility room ready for the next morning. We did on occasions light the fire in the sitting room, which was not particularly successful, however, the central heating always ensured that the Cottage was warm and cosy. If we ever went back to Skye, we certainly would not hesitate in booking the Cottage again.
