There is barely a shop on the High Street (except, of course, supermarkets and chemists) that isn’t dog friendly. Polite dogs are welcomed with a smile and generally a treat, too. I’ve never known a town like it.

Lymington town is incredibly dog friendly. Woofs are welcome in most shops, cafes and restaurants. Lots of shops have water bowls outside and treat jars inside. And you can buy doggy lollies at the quay (no rubbish all good ingredients).

A lovely Georgian town where it seems nearly all businesses, pubs and restaurants welcome dogs. Lots of bowls of water, and kind words. It's really helped by a tie in to the local dog owners' group who have a standard door and window sticker so it's easy to identify businesses which welcome dogs.

Most shops and businesses have a bowl of water outside and many allow dogs inside including cafes and bars, bookshops and clothes shops. I love it as I'm local and it is also a magnet for dogs and their humans who holiday in the New Forest.
