A perfect location for dogs with a safe enclosed garden and straight out the back of the cottage onto dune area and then to the beach -with no roads to worry about. Everything you could want for your stay is included - plenty of dog beds, throws, towels, food bowls as well as treats and poo bags so you can travel more lightly and I feel Caroline, the owner, has really gone more than the extra mile to ensure this is the perfect place to bring your dog(s) my two loved it, as did I. So much so, we have booked in for another two stays… which I think says it all ! Oh and by the way , it is also just as well equipped for the humans staying as well 😃 ! Thank you Caroline, I think Jacks Shack is a winner!!

We had a wonderful week there. Extremely helpful and knowledgeable owner Caroline answered all our questions prior to us arriving. Everything for dogs and humans and very close to the beach.Would recommend to anyone looking for a dog friendly seaside accommodation.

A place where you can truly relax as a dog owner. Not only all of the equipment you could possibly need and more but the warmest of welcomes await you and your dog when you stay here. The house is beautiful and feels like home from home, dogs are welcome on the sofas with throws provided and stair gates keep them from going upstairs. The garden is fully secure and being so close to the beach is a dream. We loved it.

There are so many wonderful things about Jacks Shack, i don't know where to start! The attention to detail for both humans and dogs is outstanding and it is wonderful that dogs are allowed everywhere in the property. To name just a few for the dogs - leads, food bowls, tags with the holiday details on in case they wander off, toys for the dogs, raised water bowls, poo bags. treats, throws, dog beds, stairgate and I am sure there are some I have forgotten. Jacks Shack is in the most perfect location for dog walking, literally straight out the door on to the sand dunes. Jacks Shack really is doggy heaven.

Jacks Shack is located in a beautiful situation right by the beautiful beach of Winterton in Norfolk, we had a wonderful weeks stay and the cottage was perfect in every way for myself and my husband with our two doggies Daisy and Lola, Caroline the owner had literally thought of everything possible to make our stay comfortable even providing a wonderful welcome basket with lots of goodies and dog treats along with beautiful furnishings which were all dog friendly, blankets and toys and comfy dog beds, also towels to dry wet fur and paws etc it couldn’t have been any better! We loved our stay and would highly recommend to any dog owners looking for a holiday beside the sea 🥰

We had an amazing stay at Jacks shack in august this year with our three spaniels.
I’m not sure my words will do it justice to be fair. It’s a beautiful little holiday cottage where we (the humans) & the dogs wanted for nothing. Despite it being a dog friendly cottage you certainly wouldn’t have known dogs had stayed there before. It was luxurious, clean, tidy & beautifully decorated. Everything you could possibly need for your dogs was provided from poo bags, bowls, first aid kits right up to beds, towels & crates. Us humans were also spoilt by all the goodies left for us to use & enjoy. It felt more like we had come to stay at a friend’s house rather than rented a holiday cottage.
The beach at Winterton is beautiful & just a five minute walk over the dunes which in themselves are amazing & seemingly never ending.
I have to mention how wonderful the owner of Jacks shack is as well, friendly, helpful & very welcoming even giving us the heads up to where we could see the amazing sight of the 300 or more seals on Horsey beach.
We will definitely be back for another stay at Jacks shack.

Wonderfully dog friendly with everything you need for 2 and 4 legged guests provided and perfectly placed for the dunes and beach. My dog is at home the minute we arrive.

We've just come back from an amazing stay in Jack's Shack! It's such a lovely cottage - it backs onto the dunes, and is just a few minutes walk from a beautiful beach. No roads to cross to get to the sea!!The Cottage has absolutely everything you need - nothing has been overlooked - and it's so dog-friendly which made our stay very relaxing! It's very comfortable, with a nautical theme throughout, and it has a lovely little sun room from which to enjoy the gorgeous, fully enclosed garden (which is prettily lit-up on a night). On arrival, we were greeted with a very nice welcome pack, and thete was one for our pup too! The Cottage is down a quiet lane, so no passing traffic, and it's very peaceful and tranquil. Use of the garage for the car was an added bonus.
An extremely well-equipped, dog-friendly cottage. We would highly recommend, and we'd love to return!! Caroline was a very helpful and responsive host.
