Beautiful unspoilt beach with fantastic expansive views, lots of space for dogs to run around and have fun.

So much open space and not busy

Miles of the most beautiful sand, stunningly beautiful and wild. Backed by pine forest and salt marsh where an abundance of birds and wild life thrive. The sand dunes are perfect for setting up base for the day and provide shelter from an Easterly wind if its blowing. A good little cafe near ample parking, for snacks and drinks for dogs and humans and good toilet facilities and plenty of doggie bins for for those poo bags too.

Its so unspoilt. We have two rescue greyhounds and the love to run on the soft sand. Even at busy times it is so big there is loads of room for everyone. For nature lovers plenty to see. The beach is backed by pine forest that give welcome shade on the hotter days

It's a beautiful unspoiled sandy beach and you can walk for miles. The sand dunes and nature reserve are also beautiful to walk in and dogs are welcome here too on leads. The Lookout café welcomes dogs as does the Victoria. It's so much easier than in many of the coastal locations in the west country where dogs are not welcome in many places and beaches.

This is a slice of heaven for the dogs and the family. From the moment we turn onto the beach road the dogs are up out their seats sniffing for the smell of the sea. You can spend hours exploring the shoreline looking for seals, getting lost in the tall pine woodland which reaches for miles along this stretch of coastline or you can join the dogs and take a dip! Pitch up with your picnic and spend the day or if you're feeling more active then make this 4 mile stretch of beautiful sandy coast part of a more active day of hiking. With two dog friendly cafes serving a range of hot and cold drinks, light lunches and sweet treats you are spoilt with options to refuel before, during or after your time at the beach. And if you are into birdwatching then the marshlands which flank this stretch of coast are teaming with migrating birds, ducks and geese. The options are endless!

Its massive! Even if the car park is full the beach can feel empty after 10 minutes walk. And then, of course, there are those stunning Norfolk skies.

Space and ease of access

Huge beach! Woods to explore. Norfolk Coastal path nearby. Visitor centre and cafe nearby. Pay to park for whole day at Holkham or park for as long as you want at Well-Next-to-Sea car park or in the town.

Great beach for dogs with loads of space.

It's nice to have the option of the nature reserve walk or beach with coffee shops at either end that welcome sandy 4 legs as well as 2!

Excellent Beach for dogs, you can park in the car park next to the woods and walk through the woods which takes you to a quieter part of the beach (out of season)
