As a pet friendly holiday it means we do not have the worry of leaving our fur babies behind š„° all the lodges are extremely clean and there are no doggy smells left behind from previous occupants. High Oaks Grange is honestly the best dog friendly holiday weāve ever hadā¦ we returned form our 5th visit in May.
Dogs are made to feel welcome and part of the holiday experience, not an inconvenient āadd onā. From bowls, treats and poop bags - theyāre included in the warm welcome hamper. The dog friendly meadow is amazing and we havenāt experienced such high quality provisions for dogs anywhere else we have stayed. Very happy woofs and wags from Albus Dumblepaw!

High Oaks Grange is an amazing dog friendly site, the location for one is perfect with a short walk directly from the site into the local village, Pickering. I love that there is an enclosed field on site which you can take your dogs on for a good play. The accommodation is spotless even with it being dog friendly, I sometimes find in other places the dog friendly cabins/pods tend to be a bit less looked after but that is not the case here. We will definitely be coming again soon, one of our favourite dog friendly sites to visit.

Itās a real home from home. We have two dogs and itās sometimes hard to find a place thatās dog friendly and not just dog acceptable. Our dogs are part of our family and we hate when thereās restrictions. High oaks is our happy place! Itās the one place we can both agree to go! lol itās absolutely beautiful settingās and stunning accommodations are perfect for a happy, tail wagging holiday! Youād never be disappointed

we always stay in a woodland Lodge. Always immaculate . Itās so peaceful and relaxing ,
a great location with plenty to do .
Absolutely love the hot tub and the barbecue set in your own private spot.
To keep the dogs happy thereās brilliant walks around the area .
facilities in the Lodge are amazing as we have cooked in the Lodge too. I have also used the washing machine.

We've been holidaying at High Oaks Grange for years now, and it always impresses. Beautifully kept cottages and grounds, and very dog friendly!
Dog treats, poo bags and a water bowl are included in the dog's welcome pack (humans get luxury crisps, biscuits, tea, coffee, milk, etc).
The location is brilliant, with dog friendly attractions nearby (including Dalby Forest, Flamingo Land and the North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway).

High Oaks Grange is the perfect place for a staycation with your four legged friend, it has a dedicated exercise area on site (which is such a great idea) and there are plenty of lovely walks to go exploring.
The lodges are equipped to a high standard, very comfortable and spotlessly clean, everything has been thought of, right down to the welcome pack & treats waiting for you when you arrive.
I can be a bit picky about where we stay but I couldnāt have wished for better.

HOG is an amazing venue for furry members of any family.
They are given the 5 star treatment too and treats are left for their stay. The adjoining field for exercising them is so useful you know they will have as much fun as your 2 legged family members.

Weāve visited High Oaks Grange a few times and itās great that we can take our dog and still stay in luxurious accommodation. The lodges are perfectly presented, with lovely welcoming gifts for people and furries, and has an amazing dog field where dogs can stretch their legs and then go back to the lodge for a relaxing snooze. Thereās also great walks right from the door taking you to the nearby villages.

All of high oaks lodges are fabulous for dogs but one lodge is cherry on the cake for our 2 dogs as they have the freedom to run around and explore without the worry of them escaping. We are not constantly checking them which makes the holiday more relaxing and stress free for us.. Best lodges we have ever been to and the scenery isnāt bad either

High Oaks Grange is our special place! We have shared some very special occasions there. Our first visit was for my partnerās birthday in a beautiful woodland lodge, with amazing facilities for the full family including special treats for our fur babies. A few years later we stayed in a wonderful cottage, which was the venue for my proposal of marriage to my wife, the perfect setting again shared with the family and once again it was lovely to include our 2 dogs in such a special moment in our lives. We are also looking forward to a double celebration of New Year and my 50th birthday spent with the whole family in the woodland lodge. We all have a wonderful time at High Oaks grange, with the amazing grounds and dog walks we venture out on. A truly magnificent place that we all enjoy, especially the fur babies. Our happy place x

High Oaks Grange Dog Friendly Awards ā Entry
If thereās one place where both humans and four-legged guests feel like royalty, itās High Oaks Grange. Over the years, itās become more than just a getaway for us ā itās where some of our most treasured family memories were made.
Weāve celebrated my parentsā 50th wedding anniversary, my dadās 70th birthday, and even my wifeās 50th there. Each time, High Oaks Grange has been the perfect backdrop ā not just for the humans, but for our beloved French Bulldog, Matilda.
Now, Matilda has very high standards (sheās French, after all). Usually, sheās not impressed unless there are snacks, snuggly blankets, and the occasional admiration of her āsupermodelā snore. But the moment she trotted into our cottage at High Oaks, she looked around as if to say, āFinally, somewhere worthy of me!ā
From long walks across the beautiful grounds to curling up by the fire afterwards, Matilda was in her absolute element. The thoughtful touches that make dogs feel just as welcome as their humans ā from space to roam, to cozy spots to nap, to being part of every moment ā made her holiday as special as ours.
High Oaks Grange isnāt just dog-friendly ā itās dog-celebrated. Every time we leave, Matilda sulks for days, probably plotting how to move there permanently. And honestly? We donāt blame her.
For us, High Oaks Grange is where family milestones are marked, tails wag a little faster, and memories last a lifetime. For us High Oaks Grange has already won our hearts (and Matildaās paw of approval). š¾

The lodges are immaculately clean and a lovely start up box. They are fitted out to a high standard.
Dog friendly and a lovely huge field and woods 2 minutes walk away from lodges where dogs can be let off lead.
We always take our own blankets and dog bed with us.

Easy booking, easy access to site and lodge. Lovely and warm and our bulldog Ruby loves us all being on one level. The accommodation is comfortable, warm and high-spec, we all fit in immediately. The doggie welcome pack, bowl, poo bags and treats are such a lovely touch. The secure garden is absolutely secure, we can relax in the knowledge that Ruby is safe and secure with us when we stay, it's a home-from-home for experience for us and Ruby. We have been twice now and will definitely be looking to book again for what is 'Ruby's holiday', we all love it! When we visited High Oaks Grange. We had the best time. We took our little pampered pooch with us Casper. The pod was really well equipped for humans and our four legged pooch. They left us a lovely goodie bag with treats, poop bags and a watering bowl to take away with us on days trips as well as a large bowl for him to use whilst we were on site. So kind and very thoughtful. Lovely site for us to walk him. The village was not far away and we had a nice walk over. The site is well secured and you canāt get in without a code, which I really liked. Would highly recommend!

Spacious properties with plenty of room for dogs to move around in. Easy clean up floors are present in each lodge. A lovely bag of doggy treats, water bowl and puppy guide were waiting for us on arrival. There are many grassed areas surrounding the properties making toileting and walking easy. We spent a wonderful evening in the enclosed meadow where our puppy was able to enjoy some lead free time.

Gorgeous venue in 5* luxury accommodation, but also so very dog friendly. Our lodge had a fully enclosed garden so we could let our dogs run round without any worries, plus just next door thereās an enclosed field you can hire for a period to let them burn off any extra energy.

We have used high oaks for a number of years, staying in pods, lodges and cottages. We keep going back because the staff are helpful and have been very flexible and understanding when our stay has needed to be rearranged.
The propertyās are always outstanding in cleanliness and facilities.
There are lots of places to visit and things to do, close to the site so itās a good base for families.

We've had numerous visits with our dog Benny over the last four years. We've always felt very welcome, and there's always dog bowls, dog treats and poop bags available on arrival.
The cottages themselves are beautifully kept, and offer much better functionality, luxury and value for money than some competitors (yeah, I'm looking at you, Forest Holidays - who had lodges in a forest with NO WASHING MACHINE?!)

We stayed for 4 nights in June it is amazing, the grounds, the accommodation, the dog park everything. Billy our dog loved his holiday just as much as us. They even left dog treats. The jacuzzi was perfect. The best accommodation we stayed in, every detail went into it. It is definitely 5 stars. It was perfect.

Havie stayed twice in different lodges and both are of the highest standard.

The attention to detail within the lodges really enhance your stay. Superb place to holiday with your dog. Luxury accommodation in a beautiful setting. The lodges we have stayed in had secure outside space or a large fenced garden which is perfect. Dog treats, bowls and beds are also provided.
Just a few steps from your accommodation is the huge field for exercising your dog which is immaculately kept with bins provided. Lovely walks literally on the doorstep.

Daisy Dog says she felt so welcome when she stayed. She enjoyed the presentation of all the little extras the kind people from High Oaks had left in the beautiful accommodation. The poo bags were very welcome as her family had left them at home and it put them on till they could get to the shop. The doggy biscuits were a lovely touch. The grounds were great for a walk before bed and she enjoyed lounging on the decking whilst my owners relaxed.

This place is out of this world, itās a small slice of Yorkshire heaven. For hooman and dogs! Itās dog friendly and treats the dogs like super stars! Thereās bowls and treats provided, thereās recommendations for dog friendly places. The accommodations are super dog friendly, from d rings for leads, to secure gardens in cottages and enclosed decks in the new style lodges, they have their own dog field thatās massive and the sunsets for you and the pooch are breathtaking! Itās just amazing!

Never lets you down, always a pleasure!
This is our third trip to High Oaks Grange which in itself speaks volumes. We have tried the Lodges, the cottages and this time a Woodland Lodge. Each and every type of accommodation is fitted to a high standard and equipped thoughtfully.
The location is perfect for exploring the Yorks Moors and surrounding areas. Being dog friendly is a major reason we keep returning as we are not compromising on a luxury stay. There is a fantastic dog walking field on site and when you arrive in your lodge/cottage you would have no idea that previous dogs have stayed - they are immaculately clean.
We have visited in the spring, Summer & now winter and each visit has been special.
