Such a lovely campsite with an excellent facilities for dogs and owners. There is a full field at the campsite with a pathway where the grass is kept short, poo bins with bags provided. Walks straight from the campsite. There’s even a dog shower with warm water for those muddy paws. The wardens are really friendly and can’t do enough for you. Such a well kept, spotless campsite. We will be back.

The best dog walk on any caravan site we know. Huge field that you can easily walk a mile on. The dog shower is also 1st class.

Perfect..... If you and your dog love's peace and the countryside, then it's the place for you. We was welcomed by Phil and Sue lovely couple with a wealth of knowledge of the area and things to do,the site has a fantastic big area for you to walk your dog also an enclosed area If you want to throw a ball for your dog too, also a lovey bed for him and treats on arrival, the castle pods are fantastic with a fab spacious and powerful shower,also everything you could want in your pod too, all very clean,also the fire is a fantastic extra especially if visiting in winter, can't wait to return

Thought of everything . Dog posts with rings on in your pitch so dog safe outside . Water bowls always clean. Dog poo bins with bags aswell . Doggy shower 🚿 that’s amazing . Dog walks and exercise area the list is endless

We revisit this place every year in winter with our dog who loves the location and surroundings. The managers are so accommodating and there are plenty of amazing walks including an off lead field. We love it.

It is such a well though through site, from all the extra touches on each plot and around the land to accommodate dogs. We especially loved the field at the top. We love here and so does our girl Angua, brilliant site.

We voted for Herding Hill as they not only welcomed us with open arms but also our beloved Lakeland Terrier, Poppy. The site has a dedicated dog walk area and provides stocked bins for dogs. Within their well stocked site shop they also cater for dogs. All in, it is one of our favourite sites to visit in our VW campervan.

The dog walking area is amazing. It’s safe to let your dog off the lead so they can have a run around. The campsite provides poo bags and bins and a water station. You also get amazing views of the local area from the top of the dog area.

Best dog friendly site we have ever visited!
Well marked and surfaced (cut grass) dog walks. Numerous poo boxes and free poo bags available throughout the site: no excuse for even the laziest of dog owners.

A lovely dog and family friendly site in beautiful surroundings. Endless places to explore offsite. On site have exceptionally clean and well equipped facilities including a petting farm and play area that kids adore. They can even provide you with BBQ packages to save room bringing your own. Lovely friendly staff who are accessible and full of advice.

Herding Hill makes it so easy to travel with your dog, being able to park next to your pod and have access to loads of outdoor space. The walks are great and the staff are lovely.

We come back time and time again with our family dog, both in onsite accommodation and in a motorhome. The site provides a great walking field for the dogs and even complimentary poo bags!
The Castle Pods in which we recently stayed, provided doggie a bed, bowls and a lovey private patio in which to sit and enjoy the views together.

Stayed last year and loved the location, how welcome our dog was too. Very handy to find poo bags by bins when the one in my pocket was open at both ends! We would love to visit again but our new van (9m 5th wheel) is too large to fit and manoeuvre onto the pitches - no motor movers for these vans.

We have visited Herding Hill on 4 occasions with our 2 dogs, English Setter and Labrador. The dog walking area is the best we have ever visited during our regular camping trips, with clean and empty dog bins along with providing dog waste bags. The staff on site are very welcoming and always have yummy treats ready for our dogs.

Herding Hill Farm is such a great place to stay. They are dog friendly and have got some great areas where you can take your dog. Location,there are so many great dog walks out into the countryside.
They have got everything you need in their little shop on site should you forget something for your doggy stay, I would highly recommend Herding Hill Farm for a vacation and your dogs will thank you later

I have stayed at Herding Hill numerlious times. In the glamping pods the site and the pods have always been immaculate . I travel on my own plus my Spaniel so look for sites that I feel save with staff around if I thought there was a problem.There is a large field away from the camping area and the children's play area to let you dogs run free safely. From the site there are so many walks with abus service that you can catch to bring you back after a strenuous walk along the magnificent Hadrian's wall. I can't recommend the site highly enough for the lovely staff, cleanest toilet block ever hot tubs at the end of the day play area for my dog. Even seeing the northern lights.with a glass of wine in the evening. Can't wait to go back..

Very dog friendly with a dog shower and huge enclosed field for them to run. The site is clean and tidy with lovely showers with underfloor heating and piped music,the best facilities anywhere. Friendly staff.

Dogs were very much accommodated for. Lovely scenic dog walk area. Bins with bags outside of them incase you get caught short. Dog wash station for the mucky pups, luckily we didn't need it this weekend. And the little bag of dog treats on arrival was a kind gesture. Thank you so much, we look forward to visiting again with Rosie.
