My dog JD is sometimes a little sensitive but he literally stands stands up in the car and cries when we arrive at Heathers ,this to me is all the confirmation I need to know he is in the best hands ,Heather is amazing and JD always looks fab when I pick him up ,so grateful to Heather for her compassion and great grooming skills would not go anywhere else

Heather’s approach is superb - she really understands dogs and gives them the space and time they need to adjust to the grooming surroundings. Our pup loves Heather and especially the opportunity to have a little play with other visitors and a post-trim nap in the big chair! Parking and security also very good - well done Heather!!

Heather had the utmost patience in taking time to acclimatise my 13.5 Yr old Choc lab to the salon .
Jessie had sadly never experienced a shampoo and pamper as she was terrified of hairdryers .
Heather ensured the experience was positive and enjoyable and due to her calming demeanour Jessie no longer has a fear of hair dryers .

Eddie has been going to Heather for monthly consent grooms for more than a year now. He was unfortunately traumatised by a few other groomers so building trust with another groomer hasn't been easy. However, Eddie's time with Heather each month using her 'consent grooming' methods has been a 'god send'. She has a great 'rapport' with all dogs and quickly gained Eddie's trust, so much now, that at his last session he allowed Heather to clip all his nails without any complaints from him for the first time ever. This was a huge milestone for us all, and we very much appreciate Heather's time and effort transforming our little dog's fears of being at a groomers. If we ever moved area, we would only consider another 'consent groomer' for our Eddie. But for now, she's stuck with us. Well done Heather.

My dog absolutely loves Heather. She can get away with grooming him, cutting his nails, shaving his paw pads and cleaning his ears. He runs away when we try at home! Her new salon is much more relaxed (as is she) as she isn't sharing space anymore and can control the environment for nervous dogs. She treats all the dogs with love and care and she's the only Consent Groomer that we know of in the area. She doesn't muzzle dogs, she works with them through their fears, gaining their trust and making the whole experience pleasant and non-threatening for them. We would never go anywhere else!

I was very impressed with the service we received when we had our German Shepherd groomed. It was her first time at a groomers and Heather put my mind at ease.
When we picked her up she looked and smelt amazing 🤩

Heather is a very competent, patient and skilled groomer. She works at each dog's pace - engaging them with her calm yet assertive manner. Having had a number of groomers over the last 30+ years Heather is in a different league... sincere, gentle and interested... because of this she is an essential part of our village life. Although a one woman enterprise in a modest setting she deserves to go far - and I am sure with or without an accolade she will continue to be brilliant. My 3 dogs love her - 3 very different personalities which are individually catered for. .. what more could a doting owner wish for!

Heather is an amazing young woman, who has real intuition and forward thinking knowledge when it comes to dogs. My nervous rescue dog has started going for consent grooming sessions with Heather and after just one session, made such progress. The effect on him when he has seen Heather is long lasting - he is relaxed and brave enough to not be scared of his usual things. To find someone who does consent grooming has been life changing for me and my dog Sam and the long lasting impact of Heather's knowledge and seemingly natural ability to connect to dogs cannot be underestimated. I've been taking our nervous pup to Heather a couple of times now for a confidence and consent groom. Totally at willows pace, having lots of breaks, lots of fuss and lots cuddles, along with some yummy treats. Heather completely takes her time and respects Willow, allowing Willow the space to wander and relax and be groomed in her own time. Would definitely recommend to everyone.
