We took our furry family member and she was made so welcome. Bowls, food, blanket and a letter in the room for her. Sat with us for sunday lunch and breakfast.

We have stayed a few times. Eva is always welcome in the hotel. The staff are great with her. Roll on 2 weeks time.

Been several times to The Glendower Hotel, love meeting all the dogs and stroking them. Never been when there were no dogs, think it is a really nice plus to our holiday.

Amazing hotel for dogs, they get lots of fuss. Love popping in for a meal and/or evening drink. Brilliant staff.

It’s Mazing to be able to take our dog away and then enjoy fabulous rooms and food.We went New Year’s Eve which we thoroughly enjoyed x

Hotel is located right next to the beach. However its the warm welcome my dog received during our stay which made the difference.

We had our wedding at the Glendower and also a book launch. Dogs were allowed at both events meaning that our special people could come along too! Excellent!

Ned loves visiting for lunch! Especially when he gets the doggy sausages.

Our family mini break was the first one we had taken for a while and we choose this hotel based on the fact we could take our dog with us. We were not disappointed! All the staff team made more of a fuss of our dog than us.😁 Although we were never neglected and received excellent service. Our dog received his own welcome letter, comfy bed, food (made by chef to order) and tasty treats. He also got a list of things to do on his stay. Our children were delighted with everything and so happy the dog had a great time too. We will define returning.

Friendly, nothing too much trouble and a sausage for the pooch when we visit.

Had a fabulous holiday with elderly parents and my pooch Billy

He loved all the fuss and the short walk to the beach not to mention the snack 🐶

Our family group of four persons, plus a large dog, were very comfortable in our family suite. I had chosen this hotel specifically because it was dog-friendly, and we (humans and dog) were not disappointed. Our dog enjoyed the welcome letter in the room! The staff were all very helpful and friendly. The restaurant "Coast Brasserie" was excellent - we had two dinners there as well as Easter Sunday lunch, trying various dishes and finding them all very good. Breakfast was also very good. The location of the hotel is right across the streets from the dunes and the beach. We enjoyed getting to know the area.

My Mum and I have just returned from 2 nights as this hotel. Well, where do I start... From the moment we arrived with our rather large Dogue de Bordeaux Bernard we were made to feel amazingly welcome. The staff could not do enough for us and looked after us from start to finish - nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were lovely and the food was superb - the fish and chips were so fresh and tasty!

As far as dog-friendly hotels go this is by far the best hotel I have ever been. When we got into the room there was a dog blanket and a bowl of food and water. The reception staff made such a fuss of Bernard and brought him bowls of sausages for supper, and hard boiled eggs for breakfast, they were amazing with him. Dogs weren’t allowed in the restaurant but each morning we came down to a breakfast table that had been made up in the lounge so we could eat with our dog. The hotel itself could not be more ideally placed for long walks on the beach - the dog friendly area on the beach is directly opposite the hotel.

I’d like to make a special mention about the staff. Every single member of staff was absolutely brilliant. They were professional, polite, friendly and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was enjoyable. I cannot stress how first class the service was - the staff are an absolute credit to this hotel. Tina and Hayley were especially outstanding, what lovely people. Well, you all were actually!

We can’t wait to come back - thank you so much

Just returned from an overnight stay at the Glendower and have left blown away at just how good this hotel is. We are regular travellers and have visited all kinds of dog friendly accommodation but this hotel is in a different league. Our Choccy Labrador, Poppy, was not just tolerated but treated like a VIP and we were very much spoiled too. The welcome on arrival was like coming home. We were upgraded to a bigger, better room which was outstanding - king size bed, sea view and a great size too. The room was clean and you'd never guess a dog had ever been in there. The hotel provides a (small) double bowl and dry food and pet blanket which is a great touch. We spent the evening in the bar. Understandably you can't eat in the (gorgeous) restaurant with a dog but the bar area is comfortable, spacious and beautifully decorated too. The meals we had were outstanding and great value too. We were visited by family and spent the night in the bar. We were really well looked after including the dog and visiting children. The bar prices were a little higher than pub levels but nothing close to what others claim in their reviews. As we had Poppy we had a table in the bar for breakfast which we collected from the restaurant. The food was great, the service was exceptional, eating in the bar was absolutely fine. Poppy got a bowl of cooked sausage pieces that lasted her all day. The checkout experience was equally pleasant and we had no hesitation in booking another two trips for 2019.

Top tips: 1. You can eat with your dog in the bar - no crating or locking your pet in the car required. 2. There are grassy sand dunes and a beach to exercise the dog across the road (inc. poo bin). 3. Join the Best Western rewards club and you may get upgraded. 4. There is plenty of parking.

Summary: An amazing hotel for dog lovers OR non doggy visitors. (PS: If you come here and moan about dogs in the hotel you only have yourself to blame - it's no secret. Besides the lounge and the restaurant are dog free - get a grip!)

Came with our dog Daisy and this hotel is the most dog friendly place ever, other hotels take note this is how it should be done everything was perfect. From the minute we arrived the staff could not be more helpful. Will be back soon, this is the first time I have been compelled to write a review and would recommend the Glendower to anyone. Ed, Janet and Dais

I am writing this review whilst still in the hotel.

So where to begin...

On arrival we were 2 hours before check in time, the staff were exceptionally welcoming and friendly, they checked and allowed us to check in early.

The standard double room is modern, cosy and clean. There is a small TV, Bluetooth radio and tea/coffee making facilities and a really comfortable double bed. The bathroom is a decent size with a bath and a fantastic shower.

The hotel itself is very clean and modern, spacious and airy. The bar and restaurant are fab, a lovely modern contemporary vibe with fantastic staff and a great menu.

All of the staff we have interacted with have been very professional yet warm and friendly. We sat outside and spoke with one of the managers for a while, we talked about how impressed we were with it being such a high standard and dog friendly.

Literally cross over the road and you are on the sand dunes and 30 seconds away from the beach.

The food we have eaten from the restaurant has really been exceptional with generous portions.

We love it here so much that we have booked for a months time and will be bringing the dog with us.

I just want to say thank you so much to the hotel staff for making us feel so welcome, like nothing was too much trouble and for being so very friendly.

See you in a month x

My partner and I have just spent the weekend here with our 5 year old lurcher, Lola. She has been thoroughly spoiled by the staff with sausages for breakfast and supper. All the staff have been kind and attentive, especially Vincent who has made a fuss of Lola each time they met! Our room was fine with comfy beds and a blanket, full food bowl and water bowl for Lola. We ate in the hotel on our first evening and had sandwiches to our room on our second evening. Both were good. Thank you Best Western staff. The bonus is the beach directly opposite. It’s approximately 4 miles to Lytham and a couple of miles to St Anne’s town centre. Highly recommended
