The Emporium gift shop is dog friendly which is rare for gift shops. It means on a dog walk we can pop by and buy a card or gift, which saves me time. I foster dogs and have bought many dogs big and small into the shop and the staff are always very welcoming. It’s spacious to walk around, and always has a doggy water bowl outside which is a blessing in the Summer.

Come rain or shine, everyday there is a bowl of water for thirsty dogs outside Emporium. Passing dogs know this and make a bee line for the bowl. Woof, woof (dog speak for ‘thank you!’)

I love Emporium because everyone is super friendly there and Fizzy (my cockerpoo) clearly feels totally at home there. 🙂 Holding her back from going in is a challenge, holding her back when there are people / other dogs being served ahead of us a mega challenge and trying to then persuade her to leave the attention, love and gravy bones is my final challenge!!!! She loves it! And the shop is gorgeous too by the way! It’s an easy win for us - Emporium is #1 🏆 ! 🐾

Whenever we walk down the Bath Road, Slinky would always make a beeline for the Emporium Gift Shop. He always goes to see David as he knew he had a stash of biscuits behind the counter.
We wish there were more shops like this where we can shop & take Slinky with us. It is a fantastic shop.

Lovely to see dogs in the shop in general but I brought my two dogs in last week, one of which is nervous but she was very good and very happy to sit and get a treat.

They always make my dog feel welcome and give him a biscuit. They have gently encouraged his confidence (he's a Romanian rescue). Plus I really love the fact they have a water bowl outside. It makes us both feel very welcome. He's my best friend so it's lovely to feel we are both welcome together.
