I have 2 dogs a maltese and a multipoo and when we go away Casper and Pablo stop eating for the first day or so and have detachment syndrome they
Can't settle when mummy and daddy are away and I am ringing or texting my granddaughter and can't enjoy our holiday.

This place is amazing! It gives us humans as well as our dog time to relax and de stress.
The hosts are so kind and cater for Al our dogs needs. There is so much space to explore and for our reactive dog to feel safe. We will return again and again if we can.

Dogs love holiday is the most amazing retreat for doggos and humans alike. For those of us blessed with puppers who struggle in the “real” world, it truly is a sanctuary of calm and bliss, it is extremely hard not to feel at peace here.
Exclusive areas for you to use, a beautiful, extremely well equipped cottage where you will literally want for nothing for yourself or the dogs, everything is catered for. And, of course, the most wonderful hosts who go above and beyond to make sure your time with them is enjoyable.
Mandy and Mick truly have created heaven on earth for reactive, fearful dogs and even dogs without any issues.
Nothing is ever too much.
It really is our favourite places to be in the whole wide world with our reactive girl.

Quiet, beautiful place for dogs and humans. Perfect for nervous and "space" dogs. Perfect location for walks directly from cottage into Hafren forest as well as use of two big paddocks for off lead fun. Had a great time last year and cannot wait for our upcoming break this year.

Luxury accommodation, combined with acres and acres of secluded forest and fields to walk in. Perfect for reactive and non-reactive dogs. The property is superbly maintained.
Mandy’s training and experience as a dog behaviourist means she has anticipated all needs both canine and human.
Both Mick and Mandy’s experience as dog owners and genuine love for canines shows in spades. They are both approachable , fun and helpful.

Having a crew of 2 humans and 5 dogs it’s hard to find somewhere that understands the differences and complexities. You get that and then some at DLH. It’s our happy place and a complete switch off for us all. I can’t thank DLH enough for giving us that space to feel safe, and have our little bit of heaven even for a short while. Incredible for anyone whether your dogs are happy in any environment but more so for those who feel isolated and unable to take their sensitive dogs to new places and on holiday.

Not sure where to begin to be honest, this place has basically changed our lives. We have a 4 1/2 year old, extremely reactive German shepherd. We’ve had her since a pup, and her reactivity has grown worse as she’s got older, making it very difficult for us to go anywhere with her, sadly, that also includes walking her. We were determined to find somewhere suitable for us all to holiday together, but we just kept coming up to dead ends, the places simply were not suitable for reactive dogs. It was heart breaking as we are a young couple and we just wanted somewhere we could take our dog like all of our friends get to do with their ‘’normal’ dogs. Finally, we stumbled across Dogs love holidays! I honestly thought it was too good to be true at first. Because surely there’s no place out there that really does cater to your dogs particular ‘quirks’ or a place that doesn’t either have live stock or neighbours right? Well I was wrong! Dogs love holidays is bang on. From everything you could possibly need! Enclosed huge paddocks, water, walks from the door into the beautiful Hafren Forrest, I could go on and on! The cottage itself is sooo cosy, and perfect for getting all warm and snuggled up after a long day dog walking or playing in the field with the dog. The hosts are exceptional, we have been to the cottage twice now (I’m actually writing this on the way home from their place) ;-(. This year we had an additional little someone with us, our 2 month old baby, and although the cottage doesn’t specifically cater for babies, it’s a home from home and we had more than enough room for us all! We are already booked again to come for our 3rd trip in July and we already can’t wait! Thank you from the bottom of our heart for setting up such a such a spectacular place I which allows us to holiday as a family with our beloved (but crazy) dog. Tom, Kat, Clemmie & Nala

We had the most beautiful, relaxing week with Dogs Love Holidays in December 2021.
We have 2 reactive rescue boys and the cottage, secure paddock and the beautiful, quiet surrounding land and woods were perfect for them and us to spend a completely undisturbed week!
Mandy & Mick are wonderful accommodating hosts.
On hand if you needed help with anything or ideas of places to visit whilst at the same time, very respectful of your privacy and reactivity of our boys.

I voted for Dogs Love Holidays because it’s set in the heart of beautiful Mid Wales, Amazing, welcoming hosts Mandy and Mike, exceptional secure paddocks for dogs to run free. Idyllic countryside walks right from the cottage. Beautiful dog friendly beaches near by. Lots of facilities for dogs and a beautiful home from home cottage.

We've just got back from a weeks stay with them. Being the parent of a people and dog reactive dog isn't always easy but Mandy and Mick made our stay stress free and peaceful. Monty loved the paddocks, box of enrichment toys and treats and we're hoping to stay again soon!

We were very lucky to stay here at the start of the year, and it was so relaxing for both the dogs and us humans.
The place is so well thought out with everything you could ever need, the hosts are a delight and so friendly and helpful.
With a reactive dog, it was amazing to see him relax, as it was so peaceful and very little noise to trigger him,it meant the world to us to see him so calm and chilled.
It's truly the best holiday we've had in the UK and we cannot wait to return.

This is truly one of the best places I’ve stayed. Mick & Mandy offer a warm welcome and their understanding of each individual dogs needs is outstanding. They have thought of everything in the cottage for both dogs and humans and for those with nervous or reactive dogs you are guaranteed to be able to relax knowing there won’t be anything to trigger their dogs, my nervous Collie relaxed almost straight away and had the best time. Beautiful cottage in stunning surroundings. I’ve booked again for next year and can’t wait to get back there. Secretly don’t want to shout too loud about how amazing this place is as otherwise I won’t be able to get availability for the year after!

I have written a review already but if could speak for my dig I am sure she would say it’s the best place in the world!
From seeing a stressed out dog when it comes to strangers relax so much and wag her tail in a friendly manner when seeing her hosts in just a few days has made the holiday worthwhile. Never had this happened in all the years we have had her. In between walking around and lolwntynof dog naps in between we can safely say we will be visiting every year . This place is a dream and should be available on prescription.

We visited in may this year with our rescue bull terrier. Never have we seen our girl so relaxed. This place is one that needs to be seen to be believed.
The accommodation is outstanding. The location and area is just out of this world.
Our dog is our world and we always pack everything we think our dogs needs and we couldn’t quite believe how much attention to detail the hosts thought of.
Everything was thought of and taken care of, from beds- oh my goodness the amount of beds we could choose for our girl was amazing- from orthopaedic beds to raised beds, to small to large and fluffy 😀 there were even different covers for the furniture for us to choose for our dog.
When we arrived there was even a welcome gift box of natural chews for our dog to feast her eyes on.
It took us a few days to relax- only purely because our dog is never totally relaxed, and so when she walked off somewhere, we were still behind her but we needn’t have worried. The cottage first is enclosed , then you have 2 enclosed areas to the front and rear of the cottage, THEN you you have a huge pond area with enclosed area and then and then the list honestly goes on longer. If I type everything I would be here for days.
Basically the cottage and enclosed areas are a holiday in itself. We have our own private access to the Neighbouring forest - the hafffren forest. . Please Google it and you will see how beautiful it is.
We were there for a week and not only was our girl relaxed, we were relaxed!
Our girl is very worried if strangers, she had an awful past and so understandably to her strangers mean danger. So, we were totally dumfounded that after less than a week of being there our girl was wagging her tail when seeing our hosts next door at the adjacent property!
Mandy and Mick live next door but by no means are they always around , they just make it clear to us that if we need them, they are there. Mandy is a certified dog trainer and behaviour consultant and also offered to dog sit if we wanted some time alone ( we thought we would but because our dogs was so relaxed we just wanted to spend as much time with her as possible seeing her experience what a lot of dogs experience in a “normal life”. )
On a rainy day mandy did some free work for prea which was lovely. Mick, mandys fiancé was so lovely too- because of Mandy, he understood just how reactive dogs work so was so patient with our girl and didn’t offer any threatening greetings like eye contact or going to strike her like well Intentional strangers but was just “there” and made our girl feel so relaxed and unthreatened.
I could go on and on and on but risk boring people.
This place is amazing and seeing is believing.. we have already booked up for next year and miss it so much. Dogs love holidays is what I imagine as a natural drug and in an ideal world this would be on prescription.

When we heard about Dogs Love Holidays, we booked immediately!
We were not disappointed. Having two secure fields for our dog to safely practice ‘hunting’ (no animals were harmed) were a big plus for us. We also enjoyed the forestry walks where we felt as if we had the whole place to ourselves!
We were spoilt for choice between enjoying great walks direct from the cottage and taking lovely day trips to the coast. Aberdovey beach was my favourite.
Mandy and Mick were super hosts. On hand whenever we needed. The cottage was well appointed with all the little details to make our stay cozy and restful. Our dog felt at home straightaway!
