Sam manages a wonderful dog salon, but the team are all amazing and are more a family than mere work colleagues. They are fantastic with all dogs and give each of them so much love and care, plus an amazing groom. Always calm and welcoming to our little rescue dog.
Listens to how we would like her groomed and they ALWAYS makes sure they cotton wool her ears each time so she doesn't get ear infections from wet inner ears.

I was desperate to get my 9 week old puppies nails trimmed as they were scratching all of us and deterring the kids from playing with him. I was really anxious about bringing him in as he hadn't had his 12 week vaccinations yet. Anyway, I got in touch with collar and comb and they suggested that I bring in our puppy at either the very beginning or very end of the day as it would be less busy. They also said to hold him in my arms the entire time. Well, when I got there, I got more than a nail trim for Bailey!!!! Laura was incredible! She couldn't help herself and asked if it would be ok to trim the hair àround his eyes so that he could see! What a difference that made! ❤️
Then she told me what the problem areas are for this breed and what to concentrate on doing grooming wise (and how) so that he would be less freaked out when he eventually came in for grooming. I was honestly blown away! Can't wait to get Bailey groomed here! Such incredible service!!!

When I first took Shona, our Tibetan terrier puppy, to Collar and Comb I was quite apprehensive, as she had been very anxious at the previous groomer that we had taken her a couple of times. I needn't have worried, as from the minute that we arrived Shona clearly settled in thanks to the open layout of the salon and lack of cages, which some salons put the dogs when they are not working on the dogs. The quality of the grooming by Sam was really excellent and we will be happy to keep bringing Shona to be groomed at C&C.

I needed to find a groomer at short notice after my other groomer just shut shop and disapeared. There was no time to lose, as my dog was well and truly in need. Collar and Comb welcomed her with open arms with a quick tidy up so she could wait in comfort for her proper groom. Such a relief! They have a gentle touch, a good eye for detail and for the dog its like a social visit to a human hairdressers..other dogs to sniff , greet with the odd treat. Nothing is hidden from her human owners, I can see the grooming tables, the other dogs, sneak in the odd pat and chat quickly about all things dog. My dog does her happy dance every time to show off her clip....and I love showing it off too!

I particularly like this groomers as it’s open plan and the dogs can roam when they are finished.
Whenever I go to pick my dog up he’s normally asleep on one of the dog beds.

We rescued Delara a turkish kangol and wanted to get her ears cleaned and give her a general clean up. Having never been to collar and comb before Sam and the crew were very welcoming and fitted us in at short notice even staying after hours to fit her in. After hearing Delara's story Sam refused to take payment for Delara of course we couldnt do that but goes to show what collar and comb are all about. Kind caring dog lovers who will do their best for all dogs in their care.

Sam and her team truly are the best in the area and I’m sure even further beyond. So kind, caring and understanding and even the way their shop is set up it’s so clear how much they love the animals in their care and in turn how much the animals being groomed love it too. My very anxious, often nervously aggressive little fur baby was even won over by the girls and they not only reassured him but also me, as I too was always so anxious leaving him for fear of how he’d react/ behave. They clearly have dog whispering skills as they knew just how to calm him like no one else had done and better still he always came out looking utterly fabulous. He’s very sadly playing up in the rainbow skies now, which again I will never forget the kindness and empathy Sam gave me at such a horrendous time, and I will forever be grateful for her understanding and kindness. I will be returning to see Sam and co with my two new fur babies in a months time and I know they’ll be in the very best hands!

I have 2 GSD; 1 of which isn’t a fan of the groomers; or at least wasn’t before using Collar& Comb. They both came home from the groomers not just looking and smelling amazing; but they are calm and relaxed. Sam and her team; are patient with the animals in their care and treat each one as if they are their own. Im happy knowing that my dogs aren't just put in a cage and left whilst they aren’t being groomed; which is something we have experienced in the local area; instead they are able to freely move around in a safe dog friendly salon. I wouldn’t dream of taking my dogs any where else and highly recommend them to everyone looking for a pet groomer.

My 13 year old spaniel had never had a good grooming experience in his life, he’s very anxious and can be extremely difficult. I was recommended Collar & Comb and they couldn’t have been nicer, talking about perhaps doing it over two sessions, buying calming spray, bringing him in early etc. When I took him I fully expected a call to say they hadn’t been able to do it, as always happens, instead they called to say that not only was he completely done, but he had been a good dog! I don’t think anyone has ever said that about my dog before!
