Dog Friendly Cardies is the best shop there is - entirely due to the Ponks who meet and greet. There's nothing quite like a beautiful friendly Labrador or several trying to lick money out of your hand.

The owner's lovable rescue labradors meet you at the door and there are endless tales of their amusing exploits on Facebook. They are gorgeous and so are the cards on sale in the shop. Also wool supplied for knitters to knit covers for post boxes for charity.

Not only are dogs welcomed in Cardies, there are always water bowls outside and biscuits to be had. On occaisions a wonderful meet and greet with the owners dogs can be had. They also sell items for dogs, for dog lovers and to support a dog charity

Cardies have welcomed dogs in the shop for 34 years. They help to raise money for various dog charities as well as helping to foster and re home Labradors through Labrador Rescue South East and Central. They have their own family of rescue labs who help to Meet and Greet in the shop. 🐾

Simply put Cardies is a lovely shop, Orberry the lab is a wonderful meeter and greeter, the staff are friendly and take time to get to know you as a customer. They are eco friendly and have been wonderful with the pandemic, ensuring the safety of their staff and customers alike. They are welcoming to customers with dogs and the owner Jo is passionate about helping animal charities where she can. For example selling purple knitted poppies with all the money going to animal charities.

As eco friendly as possible! Always making the night street Unique. In the quaintness of the old North road! “Cardies” shop has always been in 25yrs very welcoming & personal! To customers & pets! Always ready for the cute dog LOVE the fuss/cuddles, treats, water bowl..Also Jo does a lot for Labrador rescue. Her favourite type of dog . she’s alway looking after and adopting them . Orberry has just had a big operation....weeks ago! He’s doing well! Just got to wait for his chicken leg hair to grow back ! ? lol ?

The Owner has at the moment five rescue Labradors who are meeters and greeters in her shop. All doggies are welcome drinks bowls provided.
In addition the Owner is a member of Labrador Rescue and has rehomed numerous Labs and keeps in touch with nearly all.
