We visited with a friends frenchie who loved the water (against expectations) and swam like a fish and then took my labradoodle who walked on her hind legs while pretending to paddle with her front legs!!!! She was not happy despite Staff being very kind and my son getting in with her so when she has puppies next year we will be bringing our one early to start enjoying swimming ( as a water dog breed)

We had a fantastic time when we took our pup to Canine Dip and Dive at Maldon. It was the first time he'd swum and Jodie and Terry were lovely. Terry who was in the pool for the session was amazing at making our pup feel safe in the water and built his confidence as the session went on. It was a great afternoon.

This is an amazing venue for dogs to get used to swimming and diving. The owners are very calm and always on hand to help the dogs. You can hear the excitement in the dogs when they are running up the the pool.

Why?..….. Terry is the SwimDog Whisperer! We experienced his dedication, patience, passion and the love he spreads around for all dogs with different types of personalities. He's amazing!
Terry encouraged our two puppies, Reggie, a Miniature Schnauzer, Giorgio, an Italian Greyhound, and even our 10 year old Miniature Schnauzer, Nelson, all first time swimmers, to get in the pool on a cold day and that says it all! Nelson also hates walking through puddles, he always goes round them! They all swam! Such a great achievement and a brill time was had by all, we are still recommending and look forward to going back to do it all over again sometime soon ;)

Jodie and Terry are always welcoming, friendly and incredibly professional. Their gentle, kind and encouraging handling of the dogs is a credit to them. We have been to a couple of other pools when on holiday and there was no comparison. These guys are in a class of their own.

I took my Miniature schnauzer for his first swim yesterday and the whole experience was brilliant.
A great secure set up so all dogs are kept safe and secure around the pool. Overall it was and so much fun. My two daughters got in the pool with him which they loved which def gave our dog the confidence to join them in the pool. He got lots of exercise and was tired out all afternoon. Win win. We will definitely be taking him again.

We took our boy for his first swim to Canine Dip and Dive after it had been recommended to us. Although Chester was nervous at first, they were extremely patient and friendly with him and by the end of the session he’d got the hang of it. I think it’s a fantastic idea for dogs to enjoy the water without the worry that some lakes, ditches and the sea brings. There should be more of these fun doggy pools available. I would highly recommend to anybody.

Our first visit today. A warm and friendly welcome as soon as we arrived Terry and Jodie make a fabulous team. Our 5 month old pup had such a great time. Terry was in the water with the dogs. Made sure they were safe and reassured her constantly along with the praise and the cuddles. So much patience and just a thoroughly happy and inclusive time
I live 40 minutes away from Dip and Dive but it’s well worth the journey!
Just also the little thoughts, lots of water toys to interest the dogs and also the starch compostable poo bag dispensers dotted around and a sealed tub to take in to the composter too!
You couldn’t make any changes that would make it better in our opinion. We will defo be back.

I know the owners personally and they are a fun loving caring couple that work hard to achieve the highest level of ability to fit the needs of the role involved. They thrive on the job in hand.
Canine dip and dive has proved to be a huge success and Terry and Jodie both enjoy their roles and give everything mentally and physically to enable the customers a stress free swim, they both show such professionalism but at the same time make it so much fun!
You can see it on the dogs faces that they really are having the best time, even the ones that are not keen (like mine) Terry gradually encourages them into the pool in a way they don’t realise that they are in.. Terry Is a genius, a dog whisper!
Jodie does all the admin, advertising and invoicing and is a natural at this.. she’s always looking at ways of improving things to make the business better and runs the business with efficiency.. what a great husband and wife team that work 24/7 together very well indeed!
I feel that they deserve this as in such a small amount of time they have made a huge impact on the local community and further afield, a thriving successful business and I wish them both a great future together, in work professionally and as a married couple that do this with love and total commitment not just to each other but to the furry friends that have surrounded themselves with on a daily basis!

Jodie and Terry are fantastic, the swimming pool is in a safe enclosure, dogs can run around and up the stairs to jump in pool or run down ramp. For the more excited dogs they have loads of water toys for them to play with. Terry is great at getting nervous dogs in the water and by the end of the session loving the water. Wonderfully reassuring for my very nervous german pointer who didn't like getting wet at all. I want her to be a successful gundog so confidence in water is essential. Terry and Jo were excellent at giving her the time and reassurance she needed. Within 2 sessions she was loving it as was I. We're already booked for another fun swim.

One of the only places in the area that I know of to offer an experience specifically for dogs beyond just hiring a secure dog field. The team running it are really friendly and clearly know how to treat and encourage the dogs to ensure they have a great time. Really clean pool and they offer various types of swim from individual to small groups based on age, so something for every type of dog.

I have used the maldon dip and dive twice now with my dog Kaio and his dog friend Buddy - it is an absolutely wonderful experience for the dogs and the guys running it are so patient with nervous dogs - by the end of the 2nd session Buddy and Kaio were swimming and jumping in happily.

The staff are so lovely, helpful and enthusiastic, our dog is Springer Poodle cross and loves water and swimming but needed some gentle coaching to really get going but once she did there was no stopping her. It was also so lovely to see some older dogs who appeared to have mobility issues having "pain free" exercise in the water.

You can tell that they truly love what they do and enjoy working with the dogs, so relaxed and playful with them. I love brining my dogs and seeing their confidence increase each session. The Dip and Dive in Maldon is amazing. Jodie and Terry are so patient with the dogs and you can tell they genuinely love helping dogs learn to swim. One of my dogs previously refused to get into the water to swim but with encouragement from Terry in the pool, she is now a fantastic swimmer and we have difficulties keeping her out! It has massively helped her confidence not only in the pool, but outside too. I have introduced other friends and their four legged friends to the Dip and Dive and everyone has high praise.
Make sure to book early to avoid disappointment!
