The whole team make your stay such a special and positive experience. They have helped us so much with our “troubled” shepherd and also with our two pups, helping them to grow into confident, well balanced dogs. Being a regular customer we have got to know many other guests, some of whom have become lifelong friends. The sense of community is wonderful.

There really aren’t enough words to describe how special Bowerland Holiday Cottages is to us.
From the moment you arrive, everything is quite simply top notch. The accommodation is beautifully clean, wonderfully organised, welcoming and thoughtfully presented, with those lovely personal touches that immediately make you feel at home. The grounds are beautiful, safe and incredibly well cared for, creating the perfect environment for both people and dogs.
But for us, it’s the people who make Bowerland truly extraordinary.
I was incredibly nervous the first time we visited, but Lauren and the whole team welcomed me with such warmth, kindness and genuine inclusivity that I very quickly felt that I belonged — that I mattered, and that my dog and I counted. Nothing is ever too much trouble, and no dog struggle is considered too difficult. Their knowledge is exceptional, but it is combined with something even more important: enormous compassion and a genuine desire to help.
The learning is huge. The training is of the highest quality, incredibly effective and, most importantly, focuses on solutions rather than problems. You are never made to feel that your dog is the problem. Instead, the team helps you understand, find a way forward and celebrate every little bit of progress along the way.
And the results have been phenomenal. Quincy has made such incredible progress, and I honestly don't think we could have achieved what we have without the knowledge, flexibility, encouragement and care of the Bowerland team.
Lauren is simply wonderful — warm, kind, inclusive and endlessly supportive. She has created something very special at Bowerland, and you can feel that in everything they do.
Our first stay really was a holiday of a lifetime. We loved it so much that we have already been back three times — and we’ve booked for next year too! Bowerland has become our home from home, and somewhere that holds a very special place in our hearts.
I would recommend Bowerland without hesitation. If you have a dog, a training challenge, or simply want somewhere truly beautiful, welcoming and special to stay, go. You will be made to feel at home, you will learn an enormous amount, and you and your dog will be in the safest and most caring hands.

I love the fact that everything is thought about, from the layout of the cottage, the provision of the things you need to holiday with your dog (outdoor dog shower, secure garden, beds and treats) AND there is the opportunity to do some dog training with expert trainers who work kindly and positively with you and your dog. I've stayed at several of the cottages that Bowerland Cottages Holidays have. All are to an amazing standard, which is often difficult to find when dogs are allowed. You don't pay extra to have dogs stay. There are a variety of sizes available and most have their own secure private garden.
I have looked at alternative accommodation in the area to double check pricing and standards and nothing comes close. I have booked more stays in the next year and I don't hesitate to recommend them to friends.

I have started in one of the luxury cottages and it was absolutely stunning. So well thought out for visits to Devon with your dog. The cottage had access to a huge secure training field with walks around a beautiful lake and in close proximity to the Devon dogs training centre.
The hot tub was brilliant I couldn’t imagine a better place to stay in a visit to the area.

Brilliant dog friendly breaks in accommodation which is both comfortable and designed with dogs in mind - so you never have to worry about a secure garden or taking a raised bed or forgetting the water bowl.... its all there waiting for you. I stayed in one of their beautiful cottages whilst on a dog training holiday with Devon dogs. Quiet, with all comforts for me and my dogs (including dog washing facilities outside, perfect after a muddy winter walk), a secure garden and views of Dartmoor on one side and the rolling Devon countryside on the other, it was perfect. I also liked all the little touches - some of their honey, eco friendly products, somewhere to put scraps for the chickens, a native hedge around the garden, nest boxes and bee houses

It is a dream come true. You come to s place where you are accepted for who you are and people are so kind.
The learning is awsome as my mum experienced and told me a million times over. And we have booked another stay in July 2025 for a week from the 4th , for 7 days.
I have to say that this is the best hiliday you could ever imagine snd Quincy agrees totally!
It's a fantastic learning place, and opportunity to change your mindset. To grow the Lara Croft spirit and I know that it is an extra magical place on earth where I could just live the rest of my days enjoying learning, the community, nature, animals, being involved and helping where possible.
Both we as Quincy our German Shepherd are Zenn and this is how to escape from all your problems and focus on your dogtraining skills and mechanics. And getting to know nice people.
The resort is exclusive and soooooo nicely welcomming. Must have put a lot of thought in it and YES you do feel at home!

The minute you drive down the lane to Bowerland Cottage Holidays you are struck by the beauty, the tranquility and magic. It is one of the most enchanting and beautiful places I have ever stayed at. The cottages are so beautifully appointed, spotless, and you are met with so much kindness from everyone. In our cottage we found a lovely welcome package, with goodies, personalised welcome card, tea, coffee, fresh eggs, cookies, and so much more. Each cottage has a private, enclosed dog friendly garden complete with lovely seating areas, s lovely lawn with gorgeous plants, dog training equipment... it was absolutely delightful. And the grounds.... breathtakingly beautiful. Seriously, it's the very very very best place to go and I cannot recommend them highlighting enough. We loved it so much, we are returning next July for another week's holiday 💜💜💜

I stayed in March of 2023 and loved it so much I'm going back in November! Each cottage is designed for the comfort of you and your dog, including enclosed, safe and relaxing yards, as well as the comfortable, dog friendly cottages. Best yet, you can book a trainer for personal skill development right in your cottage! The place is pure magic!
