Love this hotel & very dog friendly

We stay there regularly and they are so welcoming to our dogs. Dog bowls and beds are provided in your room and there is a sign you can leave on the door to say that an unattended dog is in the room. Many places you have to put your dog(s) in the Car whilst you have breakfast and dinner. Dogs are allowed in the bar and lounges. There is an excellent dog walking place opposite the hotel for taking the dogs out first thing and last thing at night. It is in a beautiful location so we are spoilt for choice with many walks straight from the door. Not only that but also the food and service is excellent. We treat ourselves to a couple of mini breaks there once or twice a year.

Very welcoming to dogs, see them as part of the family and treat them just same as human guests. Have the bedroom set up to suit dogs also.

They made our lovely, older Staffy very very welcome each time she visited and it will always have a very special place in our hearts due to the memories we made with her there. When the new puppy is a bit more sensible, then we will be sure to take her too!!

The staff at Borrowdale were exceptionally welcoming of me and my pooch, without cutting any corners on a high quality hotel experience. The price was so reasonable as well I honestly wasn’t expecting the standard to be this high! Thanks Borrowdale for a lovely relaxing time away.

Beautiful hotel in the most beautiful setting staff are great and the dog is as much a guest as us our dog just loves after dinner social in the bar with his doggy friends. No need to take the car out as endless walks on the doorstep.

As a dog owner the whole experience of a mini break is not only how much we enjoyed the break but also how our dog enjoyed their holiday which the Borrowdale Hotel delivers.
Pet owners can really relax and enjoy the pleasure the staff get from meeting our little four legged family member.

Dogs are made very welcome everywhere except the restaurant. Hotel location is great for walking and superb situation next to Lake.

We have stayed with our 2 humans st The Borrowdale many times and we are very comfortable in our lovely rooms while they eat a delicious dinner before taking us to meet new friends in the gorgeous bar. Jack & Dexter

I have stayed in many hotels where it is said that dogs are welcome. Often this is simply an advertising ploy to gain custom and the truth is that dogs are tolerated, rather than welcomed. I've stayed at the Borrowdale many times over many years and the fact is that dogs, and their owners, are warmly welcomed. The hotel is fabulous, as are the staff, and the hotel's policy and execution does not disappoint..

Fantastic, comfortable hotel with excellent food and service. Soooo dog friendly As a solo traveller ( with Billy my fellow traveller so I suppose I’m not really solo!) I find this hotel a really pleasant place to stay.

The dog friendly rooms are not ‘second class’ rooms. Dogs are welcome in the lounges and conservatory. There is a lovely field for walkies and waddles!

Best dog friendly hotel in the Lakes, always has been a favourite. dog towels for all to use, treats at reception, complimentary bowls and beds in rooms for dogs booked in, water bowls around the hotel, gardens and fields nearby, endless dog walks on the doorstep, Keswick (dog friendly town) is just 7 mins away.
