I could write a novel on Bark at the Barn. In the middle of nowhere surrounded by natural beauty in acres and acres of enclosed of fields for your dogs to run to their hearts content. I wish there was an option to post a video as the place is mind-blowing. Absolutely stunning property, treats for both humans and dogs on arrival. No limit on dogs, no breed excluded. Pure dog lovers which is exactly what I want. Very helpful and always on the end of the phone. I tried to book for the following year in the first couple of days if arriving. I've never, in my 10 years of owning dogs stated at such a stunning and perfect property. No neighbours and you don't see another soul. If you brought your food and drink for the week you'd really not need to leave Bark at the Barn. Everything you need for a perfect, relaxing and perfect holiday. Hands down the best place for humans and their pooches. Enclosed right the way around and the freedom the dogs have is just the best sight watching them run free and sleeping like babies they are that tired after all the fun and games chasing each other around the fields that have paths mowed so it's like a maze and my 3 beagles had the time of their lives hiding and chasing each other. The owners were just fantastic. Can't wait to return in 2024. Can't recommend this place enough.

What can I say about this place -
The owners are the most welcoming, accommodating hosts I have ever met at any of the dog friendly properties I have rented.
The owners don’t just ask for feedback to ‘look good’ but they are genuinely interested in what you have to say AND take action on what you have said.
The accommodation is furnished to a very high and spotlessly clean standard. Every little detail that can make a holiday perfect is guaranteed to be there.
As for the location, I’m certain that this is Devon’s definition of heaven.
Plus I’m certain that every four legged friend will feel like they are in heaven when they have 15 acres of secure grounds to explore.
Part of me feels that I should not write this recommendation and I should keep this idyllic location a top secret place just for my fur babies.

Its a piece of heaven on earth. Great human accommodation but for the dogs it is something else. The freedom they can enjoy is amazing. I have 5 dogs. So finding somewhere we can all go is rare. This is our dream holiday. No people and all my dogs.

No limit on dogs nor breed type,the barn is a fantastic conversion with 15 acres of fenced in land that dogs can run free all day( humans to if the dogs let them).
The accommodation is clean and has everything you need including a dog wash area with dog towles supplied and the owners are AMAZING people who u derstand dog owners and couldn't be more friendly if they tried.

Our family, including four borzoi love Bark At The Barn. The owners are welcoming and friendly. They understand dogs and are dedicated to provide the most perfect holiday for all dogs, especially reactive dogs or very large packs. There’s always a welcome treat for the dogs and their humans. Bark at the Barn is wonderful accommodation, very well decorated, furnished and equipped, there is ample parking for several cars, there’s even a doggy shower room. Set within 15 secure acres with breath taking views, Bark at the Barn is a fabulous holiday to relax and just delight in watching your dogs have the best time exploring the hills, trees and river. Sitting out on the terrace or balcony overlooking the stunning view, watching the abundance of birds is just bliss especially if there’s a rainbow or amazing sunset.

We took our 9 huskies for a dog friendly break and after a hectic few hours of driving we came upon this oasis of delight tucked away in Devonshire countryside. Our dogs loved it and after being cooped up in the van for several hours they loved the vast open space left wild for dogs to sniff and explore, you could see the excitement in their happy faces. The accommodation was a home from home and very comfortable. Such a wonderful place to get away from the world and spend some special time with our dogs.

This is the perfect place for dog owners to stay. Beautiful property and land, wonderful part of the country. The owners are sooo helpful and really love dogs. Compared to most places which are actually just dog tolerant (not on the furniture, don’t leave them alone, can’t be safely in the garden, don’t let them bark etc etc) this place is properly dog friendly!

From the moment of enquiry, it became obvious that nothing was too much trouble and the happiness of both humans and four legged friends was seen as a priority.
We walked in to a clean welcoming holiday home, with freshly made scones, fresh cream and delicious jam waiting for us.
The property is amazing and from the moment the dogs were let out onto the garden/first field and then the second, they were in heaven!
The property has everything you could think of, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer and even a boot room to wash the dogs down after a wet and muddy play in the stream.
If you need to sit and relax in the evening after a day of exploring, then there is even a freeview television and also a few board games, throws for the sofas and beds, should your furry friends want to snuggle up with you.
The property is large and spacious, but still retains a homely relaxing feel.
We absolutely loved our stay and already have a return visit booked for 2023.

They offer holidays for more than one dog, and don't only take 'well behaved dog'. Holiday provides a safe environment for dogs and owners to enjoy a secure extensive area of fields and woods. So many dogs have issues such as anxiety, dislike others dogs. This is the only dog friendly holiday that ive found that does not discriminate. The accommodation is also amazing.

Best holiday ever! We've followed this project from the first brick. My goodness it is special. It is a truly dog friendly holiday, plenty of space and great secure walks around 2 fields, one with woodland and stream, thank goodness for the dog wash area. Beautiful views, enjoyed being able to watch the barn owl hunt in the evenings. It's a real home from home. The owners are two of the nicest people and have created something very special.

We have had a week when the boys can run free and no concerns re meeting other dogs. Having bull terriers, they can be over enthusiastic and upset some dogs, or be blamed for altercations unfairly as they are the ' nasty dog breed'. We have chilled. The area, sunsets, stars and bustards were added bonus. If a few other people set up same holiday you will still be booked up. Think u have set a president ' any number of dogs , any breeds'.
On top of that, the barn is stunning.
We will be back in 5 months and intend to visit twice year

The accommodation is amazing and geared all around multi Dog Holidays. Nowhere is out of bounds. To be able to have somewhere to take our 6 dogs without any worries and access to so much space right outside the door is just amazing.

This is the most amazing place to stay. It's so nice to find a bit of luxury with dogs in tow. Stunning scenery, beautiful barn, total peace and seclusion. They couldn't have designed it more perfectly with dogs in mind. Best holidays we've had.

This is the ultimate place to spend quality time with your 2 and 4 legged family. The house has been fitted to a very high standard, the dogs are allowed anywhere and have the most amazing fields, which are totally safe as they are all fenced in, giving fantastic views over the rolling hills.

The hosts were amazing, so easy to contact and have created dream accommodation for dogs and their owners. Acres of enclosed fields, a built in dog shower and treats and shampoo (plus all essentials in case you forget them) are available during your stay.

Stayed here as a group of 6 adults and our two dogs. We had the most wonderful time. There's acres of fully enclosed fields, so the dogs could be off lead all the time with no worries. There's even a dog shower and the host provided treats and shampoo for them too! Great location within easy reach of shops just a short drive away and amazing places to visit nearby for walks and exploring. We've booked to go back next year.

Bark at the Barn was a beautiful and well thought out place for taking our dog on holiday. The accommodation was spotless and had so many great features. Our dog thoroughly enjoyed running in all the private fields and from the moment we arrived he no longer needed to be on a lead. Will definitely be visiting again.

Bark at the Barn is amazing. Truly dog friendly, everything has been considered to make your holiday with your dogs relaxing for both humans and dogs. The enclosed fields are a dream come true especially for dogs that can't usually be let off lead. For reactive dogs, it couldn't be beaten. For the humans, the property is stunning and the views are beautiful. The owners are without doubt dog lovers and understand what is needed to make a perfect holiday for both dogs and humans.

I stayed here for a long weekend in June, it is a beautiful location with beautiful views. The converted barn is incredible and immaculate. There is so much land all fenced off for my little dogs to run free (which they can not do in London) I can not wait to stay again!
