DogFriendly Photo Competition 2019 Winners
DogFriendly’s Photo Competition 2019 closed on 30th November. More than 4,000 photos were entered this year.
This stunning photo of Frasier was the overall winner of the competition and chosen by our Judge BBC’s Katie Thistleton. Owner Sarah Hannant gets to take Frasier on an amazing Forest Holiday and Frasier will grace the cover of the January edition of the DogFriendly Magazine.
Category winners, as below, were based on public votes of over 27,000. Thank you so much for everybody who sent in their wonderful pictures and also to those that voted.... we are looking forward to next year's competition already.
Here is the reason Katie picked the winning photo of Frasier from the thousands of entries.
“It's such a gorgeous shot and I love how he is jumping for joy! His friendly happy personality really comes across! Also #hairgoals”
A little about Katie Thistleton
This year’s judge is Katie Thistleton who also presented our DogFriendly Awards ceremony at the Doubletree at the Tower of London Hilton Hotel. Katie is an English television and radio presenter, NCTJ qualified journalist and author, best known for her work across the CBBC channel. She presents a show on BBC Radio 1 with her co-presenter Cel Spellman. She is huge dog fan and we are delighted that she was able to choose the overall winner for this year’s competition.

What A Poser - Fizzy Pop
Fizzy is a rescued puppy farm ex-breeder, who has been home with us for 7 weeks. Fizzy is around 7 and gradually learning to love life. She is a Schnauzer x Bichon and snuggly like a teddy bear. She is the third member of our little pack. Here she is trying on her new snuggle coat by The Dog Comes First. Fizzy's fur is fine and thin so gets cold easily in this weather as she walks so slow whilst building up her muscles as she would have received no exercise in the puppy farm. She is a happy, healthy, very soft and cuddly little girl. And, of course, she is beautiful inside and out.
Owner: Tracy Bliss
Me & My Dog - Rufus
Rufus likes a spa day too
Owner: Marie Austin
On My Holidays - Bear, Rose, Angel, Arra, Briar & Torin
This is a photo of ‘Our Gang’ at a loch in Scotland on our holiday. They love swimming. This was an extra special holiday as Torin on the far right of the photo was enjoying a holiday after having gone through major surgery to have a rear leg amputated, he coped amazingly.
Owner: Sarah Egginton
Play Time - Sidney
Sidney loves any cardboard box, but if its a biscuit one he can get over excited and get his head stuck like on this occasion.
