Teignmouth can be found across the river, Newton Abbot and Torquay are 5 miles away, Dartmoor, with its superb rugged scenery, is only 12 miles, and a little further, Exeter is 14 miles. From Torquay, take a trip to the theatre, or see the penguins wandering freely at Living Coasts. Exeter and Newton Abbot racecourses, several golf courses, family theme parks, Paignton Zoo, sailing and fishing are all within easy reach.
